Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm —

Quick View: Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm is a natural way to soothe chapped lips and keep them soft. It's not the best balm out there but it does the job and honey lovers will enjoy the scent and slight taste. I am not the biggest fan of this balm but others love it.

Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm

This balm comes in a Chapstick-like honey colored tube. The balm is quite waxy and hard and it takes a bit of getting used to. I am used to slick balms that easily glide on. This one feels harder and even a bit gravely going on. However, it does stay on my lips better than the lighter, greasier types. The scent isn't my favorite because I am not a honey lover. It smells like honey but not the sweet honey in the jar. More like just a whiff of honey that, for me, smells kind of yicky. To others, it is a great scent because they enjoy the taste and scent of honey. There is no true taste but it is a tad sweet. Boasting natural ingredients, this balms contains: shea butter, almond oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil, beeswax, candelilla wax, lanolin, comfrey root, honey powder, rosemary extract, vegetable oil, fragrance.

This is a decent lip balm but isn't my favorite or even close to the top. It does, however, coat the lips and hydrate them as well as shield them from damage. There is no SPF in this so you aren't protected outside in the sun and it is best to use another balm when you are going to be outside. This is one you can use at home or indoors.

My Viewpoint

Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm is a natural, honey scented balm that will moisturize and sooth chapped lips. It doesnt protect lips from the sun's rays so its best to use indoors. The scent is one you will may really like if you like the scent of honey. I don't happen to like honey very much so I am not the biggest fan of the scent. This is an average balm that does a decent job but is certainly nothing special. I give it 3 stars. I will recommend that you try it if you like natural products and honey. This fits both criteria. But if your lips are very chapped or dry, you would be better off trying something with more healing power.
