This is great. I love the scent and it isn't too heavy. It is great for every day and if you like sweet things this is for you. It's more expensive but I use this as a special treat. If you wear it long enough, it will make your clothes smell great, too.

Okay, so maybe you don't want to walk around smelling like carrots - neither do I. But this lotion really softens your skin and though I'm no scientist, I feel like it's nourishing for your skin in the same way that eating your vegetables is. Really, you can only smell the carroty aroma when your nose is right up against your skin, so it's not that bad. I like to wear this only at night (usually when my boyfriend is not around) just in case, so that I don't leave a trail of carrot perfume in my wake. It works best when you apply it right out of the shower while your skin is still wet. I love the consistency, not watery like other store brands but not so thick that it won't absorb. Though I will say that since I've tried Burt's Bees newly formulated lotions which I was initially worried about (if it ain't broke...), I do like the consistency of those lotions better than this one. They are creamier and longer lasting. It doesn't stop me from purchasing this lotion, though, especially when it's on sale. The more I can stockpile, the better.

I recently recieved *Burt's Bees Carrot Nutritive Body Lotion as a gift in a burts bees gift set over the holidays and although the product works well and helps my terribly dry cracked skin on my hands I am not crazy about the smell. I only use it at night on my hands and with cotton gloves.* *I would recommend the product to a friend while also warning them they may not be too happy about the scent. *

I use Burt's bees lotion for my dry skin. It helps a great deal. And Burt's bees is natural. And it has Royal Jelly in it. I think its great for the skin. I also use there other Burt's bees products like body lotion,hand cream and lip stick. If you haven't tried it yet you should. See how you like it. Its even good on babies skin. I buy Burt's bees a lot when I run out I go back after more. I have to watch what I use on my skin because I break out easy. I haven't broke out on my skin useing Burt's bees.

I love many Burt's Bees products but the **Burt's Bees Carrot Nutritive Body Lotion** is not one of them.The product says that it is a lightweight all over body moisturizer that can be used on the face as well.  It is supposed to nourish and hydrate mature skin and counteract the effects of over exposed sun areas.I found this lotion to be sticky.  It doesn't absorb well.  The scent is pleasant enough but nothing to write home about.**Ingredients:**Filtered water, sunflower oil, vegetable glycerin, coconut oil, stearic acid (vegetable fat), beeswax, orange wax, tocopheryl acetate & tocopherol (vitamin E), balsam peru, aloe barbadensis, carrot seed oil, sodium borate (natural borax), xantham gum (natural thickener), sucrose stearate (sugar emulsifier), glucose, glucose oxidase & lactoperoxidase (sugar & natural enzymes), fragrance, beta-carotene.

Burt's Bees is a neat company located now in North Carolina. They are best known for lip balm but also make lotions and now some make up. My favorite Burt's Bees product is the Carrot Nutritive Body Lotion. It softens and also smells heavenly. The scent is my favorite thing about Carrot Lotion. But, for some reason, my youngest son really hates the smell. When he put on the lotion, he gagged. I don't know of anyone else who reacts this way, but I thought I should mention it. I use carrot lotion on my elbows mostly. For some reason, I tend to be dry on the elbows. Overall, my skin is soft, but the elbows are rough if I'm not careful. This product is marketed for mature and sun-exposed skin, so it works great for problem areas. Burt's Bees uses natural ingredients. In the Carrot Lotion they include Vitamin E (a favorite around here) and also Beta Carotene. Some of my students work for Burt's Bees during the summer. They like the company. Things like that have an impact on my buying. I like to buy from companies that treat people right. I called and talked to them once at Burt's Bees, and they sent a bottle for my office, so students could try out Burt's Bees. They didn't have sample packs. We ran an article on the product line, so students could just drop by and try the lotion if they wanted. It's a small school, so that worked out. I like the small town feel of Burt's Bees and like that they use natural ingredients. I especially like the Carrot Lotion. I wish my son didn't hate the smell. I guess I will not bake him a carrot cake either.
