This hand cream does have a strong scent - smells like rosemary (as do a lot of burts bees products) which not all people like. However, for any very dry climate (e.g. the midwest in the winter) nothing beats this for my suffering hands. I come from a much more humid climate, and every time I end up in the midwest in winter, my hands start cracking right away. This lotion (or rather, thick greasy cream) fixes the problem immediately!
