I have used this Burt's Bees conditioner on my children in an effort to reduce the parabens and other chemicals they're exposed to. My son really did not like the flowery smell, and I didn't think it conditioned all that well either. Normally I'm not too ken on Burt's Bees products because I find them gimmicky. But I tried this as my health food store was having a big sale. It was okay, but I don't see a need to buy it again. While I appreciate the lack of chemicals, I think a home-made egg-based concoction would be just as effective and safe for young scalps. Effectiveness There were some residual hair tangles after using this conditioner. Granted, my kids an develop big tangles but this didn't help as much as expected. Combing it through thoroughly while it's still on the hair might have been better. Scent You will either like it, or not. I didn't care for it and boys in general may find it too feminine and perfumey.

Burt's Bees conditioner works well and leaves your hair looking thick and strong. Is is not too expensive either. Its a natural product, and being a conditioner has less ingredients than a shampoo. This is a great way to skip a few days of shampooing and using just the conditioner, as too much shampoo can strip the natural oils of your hair and eventually leave it pretty dry. However, you also don't want your hair to look dirty, so using this is a good way to get past that. Can also use it before washing with shampoo as well which many people do. Effectiveness Works as well as the high priced brands that spend a ton on marketing. The way it makes your hair thick might not be everyone's favorite, but for mine I like it. Scent I like the scent although it isn't the best out there. To me it is not too strong either. It isn't too powerful and wears off pretty quickly, so even if you aren't crazy about the scent you really don't need to worry about it staying too long.

Last month I was at a salon getting a hair cut.  It was a birthday present.  They were having a special on deep conditioning so I tried it for the first time.  Wow!  It took a long time but my hair felt great.  When I went home I vowed that I would try and find a product to use at home. Burt's Bee Deep Conditioner was a great find.  Are you looking to bring new life into your hair?  Try a deep conditioner. I wanted a conditioner that would be salon-quality but not cost so much, and not take so much of my time.  Burt's Bee Deep Conditioner is awesome!  It smells wonderful; not too citrusy, not too permufey. I am one of those crazy gals that wants more ingredients that I can pronouce in an item.  I am constantly looking for products with natural ingredients.  Well, there are all natural ingredients in this bottle.  As a mom that makes me feel good.  How does it look, you ask?  It is white. It foams up nicely too.  Burt's Bee Deep Conditioner goes on the hair and instantly makes you feel cleaner.  You only need to wait 2 minutes for the conditioner to do it's magic.  Two minutes may seem like a long time to wait, especially when there's a drought, but the conditioner is not an everyday thing.  When you get out of the shower your hair feels clean and smells great. Do you color your hair?  Burt's Bee Deep Conditioner helps the color stay on a little bit longer.  I was surprised to see just how many of my grey hairs disappeared when I tried the deep conditioner. Though **Burt's Bees Hair Repair Shea & Grapefruit Deep Conditioner** is not marketed as a "pre-shampoo" treatment, I took the advice of a cosmetologist friend and spread a good amount through my strands before even stepping in the shower. I left it on for about 3 minutes then rinsed and shampooed/conditioned as I normally do. Make sure the shampoo does not contain sulfates, and use a lighter conditioner to finish it off. If you use the same Deep Conditioner again you risk turning hair greasy. The reason to do this is to lock in moisture and make shampooing the hair as gentle as possible. Anyone prone to dryness and frizzies understands how damaging shampoo can be, even with sulfate-free products. After letting my hair air-dry, I was amazed with how shiny and bouncy it was. And virtually no frizzies. Just a long, flowing, silky waterfall of waves going down my shoulders. Burt's Bees has gotten it right again with this product.  It is a four-star product because the grapefruit smell is not particularly enticing. Thankfully, it wears off soon after washing.

I got my Burt's Bees Hair Repair Shea & Grapefruit Deep Conditioner as a gift. I'm not sure how much it costed, but I'm pretty sure it was expensive, since all Burt's Bees products are expensive in my opinion. I like the packaging of this. I like how it comes in a squeeze tube type thing. Also, I like how this is natural. Natural products just make me feel safe, like I'm not putting chemicals in my hair or anything. I don't know why. Also, I like how this smells. I haven't had a product that smells like this one before. Also, this makes my hair really soft. It also makes my hair a lot easier to comb and brush out. I don't have to keep tugging at my hair, so I don't break it off. I suggest this product to anyone who wants healthier hair!

I tried this product,**Burt's Bees Hair Repair Shea & Grapefruit Deep Conditioner, **for a couple of reasons.  First, I'm a huge fan of Burt's Bees products.  I love their lip balm and cuticle creme.  Second, it was on sale.  Burt's Bees products are generally a little on the expensive side for me, but they are usually worth the extra expense.  So I found this conditioner on sale and gave it a try.  Unfortunately I didn't like it very much.  Considering that it is a hair repair and deep conditioner, I felt it left my hair feeling more dry and not very soft at all.  I don't like hair products that smell too flowery, but I found I didn't really care for the scent of this conditioner.  I was hoping this conditioner would live up to the quality of other Burt's Bees products but unfortunately I don't think it did.  Considering the cost of this product I won't be buying it again.  I haven't given up on Burt's Bees products though!!****

I absolutely adore Burt's Bees brand everything and I always want to give every one of their product 5 stars, but I had to rate the Shea and Grapefruit Deep Conditioning treatment a little lower.  It's an okay conditioning treatment, but the best thing about it is the smell.  (It smells so good I wish I could eat it!)  However, it doesn't do all that much in the way of deep conditioning.  It feels more like a regular average conditioner to me and didn't really do much to add shine or smooth frizz.  I love that Burt's Bees products are eco-friendly and have natural ingredients, and maybe you just can't get that deeply conditioning of a hair mask without synthetic chemicals.   For the price, I would much rather get some of the other amazing Burt's Bees products that I love.  I say skip this, indulge in some Burt's lotions and go for another brand of deep conditioner that really gives results.

I actually use this in place of my regular conditioner a few times a week.  Here is what I love and why I gave it five stars. 1. It makes my hair shiny. It really shines like glass. It also makes my hair smooth. I don't have any frizzies or flyaways when I use this product.   2. It makes my hair manageable. My hair is usually very knotty after washing it, but not with this deep conditioner. 3. The scent. My husband even noticed it and commented about how good it smells.   4. A little bit goes a long way. I have long hair and I don't need to use very much.   5. After using this product I never get split ends.  6. It is from Burt's Bees: That means no sulphates, pthalates, parabens, no animal testing, and partly recycled packaging! This means it won't strip your hair or put harmful artificial chemicals into your bloodstream.    7. The price isn't bad when you compare it to salon brands that aren't even as effective.

I bouth this product after reading the previous review... what a disappointment! It left my hair really thick and awful. I haven't used Pantene in ages, but I bet it would do a better job on my hair than this "deep conditioner."  I color my hair so I need something extra nourishing, and I don't mind paying lots of money for a good product. But, I do mind wasting money on something isn't worth the price. I won't buy any of these products ever again.

I was unsure about the burt's bees deep conditioner when I bought it but I was willing ot give it a try. From the first time I used it, my hair felt great. My hair felt really soft. I was unsure that the feeling would last all day but it did. Every time I used Burt's Bees Deep Conditioner my hair kept getting better. I work at a day care and I work with young children. After using burt's bees deep conditioner, the kids wanted to play with my hair more. Before I used burt's bees deep conditioner and the kids played with my hair, my hair would get tangled and it would hurt when the kids would try and get them out. After using burt's bees deep conditioner, my hair does not get tangled when the kids play with my hair. The only thing that I don't like about burt's bee deep conditioner is the smell. Burt's Bees Deep Conditioner does not smell great but that is minor to me because of the way that it makes my feel. I am going to tell my friends and family to use Burt's Bees Deep Conditioner.
