This has lots of uses

This is a bit more expensive compared to most glosses but here's the good thing: it has more than one use and it isn't heavy. It comes in a big jar sz so you can have plenty with you. I use it as a hand moisturizer in a pinch, cuticle cream and I rubbed out a scratch on my Mercedes interior with it. It's versitle. The scent is good (I prefer the strawberry) but it has no flavor. The good thing is the many uses and the scent and the fact that it's all-natural. And kinda trendy.

Lime and Punishment

Normally I go through Burt's Bees products quickly, but this gloss has persisted in my desk for years... because I never use it. Not only does it make my fingers slimy when I apply it, but it does not moisturize at all, and just slicks my chapped lips with a nasty-smelling, oily sheen.I would not buy this again.

A little pot of lard and Pledge! I think I'll put it on my lips!

**Quick View:** It may be natural but it's gross!**Full View:** I bought **Burt's Bees Fruit Flavored Lip Gloss **in Lemon Lime and wow. I don't even know how Burt can call this a gloss let alone flavored. It's like a pot of hard grease with a weird scent and no flavor at all. **My Use** I was looking forward to trying the gloss. I generally go for berry flavors and the other glosses in the line are. They have Strawberry, Cherry, and Raspberry Flavored Lip Gloss as well as the Lemon Lime. I was looking for something different and I love citrus. It's different all right. But not in a good way. The gloss is hard packed and smells like Pledge. I know it is natural but I never smelled a lemon or a lime that smelled like this. Honestly, it smells just like a cleaning product. And lard. A cleaning product and lard is exactly what I thought of when I took a whiff. Bummer. But, I figured, at least it would taste sweet and gloss my lips, right? Um. No. I spread the gloss on and that scent hit me like a punch. Really, it's awful. The gloss did smooth over my lips fairly well and didn't feel sticky. In fact, it is quite thin. Then I did the famous taste test. I love flavored balms and glosses and am used to sweet tastes on my lips. D'OH! This has no flavor. No sweetness, no citrus, nothing but an oily taste that coated my mouth. The gloss coated my mouth with an oily residue and taught my brain to tell my tongue to steer clear of my lips when wearing this gloss. OK, so it didn't smell or taste good. But did it gloss my lips? A little. This is not a high shine gloss and, in fact, I think of it as a balm rather than a gloss. My lips look like they do after I apply colorless balm, not gloss. If this were completely free of scent, it would be an OK balm for at home to keep my lips hydrated. Add the scent in and it's almost sickening. **My Viewpoint**Well, what can I say? I know there are Burt's Bees lovers all over the place and some may be reading this review in disdain at how harsh I was about this gloss. But when a product calls itself "fruit flavored" right in the name, shouldn't it be? How can Burt's Bees justify that there is NO flavor at all in their fruit flavored gloss? That aside, the gloss itself is very thin and not shiny. It's OK as an in the house balm when I want a little veil of moisture on my lips. It isn't sticky or thick by any means. But I would never wear this as real lip gloss. It doesn't have the shine I expect when wearing a clear gloss. And the scent! Yuck. I don't know about the other scents but the Lemon Lime is nauseating. It doesn't smell sweet, sour, natural, or even decent. It smells like Lemon Pledge. Ironic since the fragrance and flavoring are all natural. I don't get why the scent is so off putting but it is. For me, this is one of the biggest disappointments thus far from Burt's Bees. ***I give this 1 star***.
