I fell in love with Burt's Bees Body Wash a couple of years ago, but because of the price (and mine and my husband's small college student budget), I couldn't buy it again. I made do with several other soaps and body washes, but nothing really compared. Then when I became pregnant, I found that I was allergic to almost every soap I tried. I was allergic to anything with a scent. Burt's Bees body wash, with it's natural ingredients, was the solution: it proved to be the ONLY soap that I could use the entire 9 months i was pregnant, and I fell in love with it all over again. The scent rejuvenated me and the soap left me feeling clean and refreshed. In addition to not irritating my sensitive skin (because of the allergy), it also didn't dry my skin out like some other soaps I've tried have. It's perfect for both sensitive and dry skin. Scent I love the citrus and ginger root scent. I love the citrus-y scent. For me, it was the perfect balance between the two and provided a clean and natural smell. It was perfect in the shower and stayed on my body for a little while after, but it didn't last all day; the smell wasn't overpowering. Of all the Burt's Bees scents that I've tried, this one is my favorite.

I tried Burt's Bees Citrus and Ginger Root Body Wash a couple of times and it didn't live up to my expectations. This body wash literally felt like water when I poured it into my hands. My first impression of this product is that it smells too much like ginger. The scent is very overpowering to me and the citrus scent is almost nonexistent. I tried lathering up with this liquid and it didn't do a good job. I had to use a lot of this product to get a decent lather in the shower. After rinsing off this product it made my skin feel very dry and there was even a little residue left behind. I will say that this product did a okay job of cleansing my skin, but I've had better results with other brands. The only positive thing about this product is that my skin didn't breakout, which is a rarity considering I have very sensitive skin. I definitely wouldn't recommend Burt's Bees Citrus and Ginger Root Body Wash.

I bought this more so to find something that was only natural ingredients without sulfates. I was pleasantly surprised by the scent. Though the actual product is more liquid and less like a gel, it suds up well and cleans nicely. I step out of the shower feeling refreshed, and my husband likes the scent too. I would happily recommend this product to my friends. Effectiveness This body wash suds up well for being a sulfate free wash. Most sulfate free products seem to not suds as much, but this one certainly produces enough. I use it on a loofah and find I only need a small amount to wash all over. Scent The scent is invigorating and pleasant without being chemical-smelling or overwhelming. I have a sensitivity to scents and this one does not make my head hurt. At the same time, I don't feel the scent is very "girly", which I prefer. I think it would be fine for men or women, though the citrus part of the scent may be too "fruity" for some men.

I am in love with Burt's Bees Extra Energizing body wash with Citrus and Ginger Root. It wakes me up and gets me going in the morning, way better than coffee I must say. Leaves me clean and fresh, and smelling great. Energized and ready to take on whatever comes my way. I love the light citrus scent, not overpowering at all.

I love Burt's Bees products as they are non-toxic and natural in their ingredients. Burt's Bees has been one of the brands that I've trusted for many years. I've tried many body washes, but The Citrus and Ginger Root Body Wash by Burt's Bees is still my favorite! It has the most beautiful citrus scent that is completely natural and lasts a long time! It is made with honey, ginger root and several essential oils such as; orange, lemon, and rose. It also cleans very well without stripping my skin. I have very sensitive skin and most products leave my skin irritated and red. But this one has no harsh chemicals or fragrances and leaves my skin feeling soft and supple. It's also my favorite body wash to use in the morning because I always feel very refreshed whenever I use it. I not only use it on my body, but I also use it for my face as it is gentle enough. And surprisingly, I've found that it does a good job of removing makeup. I also find that this bottle lasts a very long time, and is well worth money! If you are looking for a natural body wash that smells great, you won't be disappointed by this one! Highly recommend trying it!

I got this body wash for Christmas last year in my stocking. I don't know if I ever would have bought it if I hadn't recieved it as a gift. I don't think I would have thought that the combination of citrus and ginger would have smelled good together or be something I want my body to small like. I do desperately love many Burt's Bees products but this one is just okay for me. It gets your body clean, it lathers well on a loofah and have all the natural ingredients your looking for in green products. I think I just prefer other scents better. I wish they would make this body wash in some kind of berry or other fruity or floral scents. Also, the scent doesn't really cling to your body long term. What I mean is that people wouldn't notice that you smell like citrus and ginger after you'd shower. It seems like the main enjoyment of the scent would be while you're using it in the shower. This does last forver though. It is October and I've been using about a dime size amount on my loofah since February and it's lasted that whole time!

If you want to get an all natural cleanser from Burt's Bees, skip this one.  I have tried the Milk one and it is so much better smelling and more moisturizing.   This is why I don't recommend this product. 1. The ginger smell is gross to me. It really makes me feel queasy. My husband doesn't like the fragrance either.   2. It is not energizing like it claims.  I feel more tired after using it.  That is probably because I am cringing all while using it. 3. It doesn't lather up well. I don't feel very fresh or clean after using it.  I am really disappointed because I usually love Burt's Bees products. I even tried to like it for a while. But then I realized I was cringing when I sniffed it.  I am going to switch back to the milk wash or try the peppermint wash.  I was really looking forward to this because it sounded so great from all of the reviews, but I will not be buying this product ever again.

When I got married I learned all too quickly that my husband has nasal and skin allergies, and it presented me with a load of new challenges. As much as I love him, I still didn't want to chintz myself, and I am a one-woman fan club of fragrance and bath goodies! It was a great day when I read about Burt's Bees Citrus & Ginger Root Body Wash in a copy of Lucky Magazine. I had thought up until then that my buddy Burt was solely a lip balm guy. I was intrigued by the citrus-ginger combination and rushed out for a bottle--along with half of Buffalo, for I got the last one! And what a treat! The fragrance is a morning eye-opener, fruity without being too sweet and spicy without being irritating to the skin. Men and women can use the body wash with equal pleasure. I found it didn't interfere with whatever perfume I'd wear during the day. The consistency of the body wash is slightly thin, but don't be fooled--it makes a ton of rich lather. Best of all, my husband doesn't even sniffle when I come out of the shower! I love this product!

Burt's Bees' Citrus and Ginger Root Body Wash is by far the best I have ever used. I love the way it smells, and it makes me feel *so *clean. It's also very energizing, as advertised on the label, because of the invigorating combination of natural ginger & citrus. It's a little pricey, but definitely worth it for the way it makes my skin feel. Every time I take a shower, I hop out feeling fresh & clean thanks to this stuff!! I highly recommend it.

This body wash is amazing! I love the scent. The citrusy smell wakes you up and rejuvinates you on those early mornings! I really like it because It lathers very well for containing no sodium laurel or sodium laureth sulfates. It's a natural, chemical-free body wash that does the job very well! However, the only reason I give it a four out of five stars is because of the price. It's not the cheapest body wash, but then again it does last for over a month. I would definitely recommend this body wash to anyone who loves natural products, not just because I'm a Burt's Bees fan, but because this body wash does the job!
