Burt's Bees Beeswax & Banana Hand Creme Review Summary

Burt's Bees Beeswax & Banana Hand Crème didn’t receive the overwhelming rave reviews most come to expect from Burt’s Bees products. This natural, concentrated product containing beeswax and banana is remembered mostly by our reviewers by the bad scent associated with rotten bananas. Despite the scent, though, several reviewers were happy with the hydration. Reviewer Liv4pete says, “The smell of this cream is a little off but it works wonders on dry hands.” Leahaiyesu says, “I would highly recommend this product for dry, cracked skin repair, NOT for every day lotion-ing.” So, if you can handle the greasy feeling and (rotten) banana scent to repair your dry chapped hands, you will be happy with Burt's Bees Beeswax & Banana Hand Crème. Those who dislike banana scent may want to avoid this product and look for other dry skin repair treatments. Read more moisturizer reviews to find the one to repair your dry, chapped skin.

I received this product in a set of trial sizes. I was so excited to smell it because I love bananas. It smells amazing in the jar, just like your sniffing a bunch of bananas. Then when I put it on the banana scent went away and I was left with a watery, beeswaxy smell that I really don't like. It takes...

Quick View:Burt's Bees products are hit and miss for me. Some, I like a lot and others, I just can't stand. This hand cream does the job but the scent is amazingly bad. You have to love bananas, no, rotten bananas, to use this stuff. It's also thick and doesn't absorb well. Ew.

Burt's Bees is generally hit or miss for me.  Lately, it seems to be more of a miss and this product is no exception.  The banana hand creme is greasy and makes my hands feel oily for a very long time after I apply it.  This might be appropriate for an overnight hand creme if you wear gloves.  I really dislike the oily residue that it leaves on everything you touch.  I have dry skin but it takes an hour for this to completely soak into my skin.  It also makes my hands feel like they are suffocating because of all the wax and oil.  The smell is also atrocious.  It really has a fake banana... review »

My husband is a doctor who uses alcohol for disinfecting and washes his hands many times in the day. In the winter he gets really badly chapped fingertips from the cold and from the above practices at work. I bought him the hand repair kit from Burt's bees, including this repair creme. From the first use he said he felt soothed and felt like it was improving (his skin was cracked and painful up to this point). After two or three applications his skin was healed. It is still winter, and neither of us have been vigilant about re-applying, but his skin has improved and has not gotten so dry and cracked... review »

This is another favorite Burt's products.  Where to begin, this stuff also smells good enough to eat(I'm being repetetive).  It's creamy and rich and does the trick when your skin is really dry. It comes in a user friendly container and I think it's a pretty good deal money wise. A little goes a long way with this stuff so be careful or you will end up greasy.

I tried this hand cream in the middle of winter when my hands were painfully dry. Yes, it's greasy, but it really works! Sometimes I wore manicure gloves to bed after applying this cream, and I wake up with the smoothest skin!

As spring approaches, I've continued to use it on the tops of my hands to beat wrinkles and for the lucious smell. Yes, I love the smell, but then I love bananas...  To those who say it's nauseating, I say to each his own.

Burts Bees is all natural and doesnt test on animals. Their products deliver what they promise. The smell of this cream is a little off but it works wonders on dry hands. All the girls at work come to me for lotion because they know i have Burts Bees and that it works. I can survive the wierd odor to get a product that works.

I suffer from very dry skin year round. I have not found the prefect moisturizer to conquer those dry skin problems. Although I have tried everything I can imagine to see which is best and it all turns out no so great. I am more than willing to try this product. Burt's bees beeswax is for someone like me!

This cream is very sticky/waxy/greasy, hard to spead out. I am not sure if it works. I guess if you put a thick layer of solid oil/wax on your skin, your skin should have a little bit more of protection.
