We have had several Bunns over the last 25 years. They make an excellent pot of coffee quicker than any other brand we have used. The quality of the coffee is always consistent. We used to lament there not being a timer so it would be ready when we woke up. However, they now incorporate a "plunger" that begins the brewing when you close the lid. Bunn used to let you trade in your old coffee maker for a refurbished one for only $26 at their plant in Springfield(IL). If one went bad, it was generally either the tank developed a leak, or the burner plate went out. Neither is easily repaired at the consumer level. One thing to be aware of is the water tank, If the coffeemaker is not used at least weekly, you should turn off the power to the tank or it may boil dry, or at least run low. If leaving for vacation or an extended time, unplug the coffee maker for the same reason.
