I am not sure there is really a rational reason to pay $750 for the Bugaboo Stroller. But who's rational? We have had three kids over the last eight years and have owned at least 15 strollers. We started with the big pram style stroller with the big white wheels. We have double strollers, folding umbrella strollers, jogging strollers and foldable strollers that are more sturdy that the lightest available. We have traveled with many of these as well.
I would say that the Bugaboo stroller is the best looking and best designed stroller that we own. When I put it together I was amazed by how elegant, simple and clever the design in. There are no annoying plastic connectors or flimsy sections that don't seem to fit together. Everything slides and clicks together with a satisfying clunk that I would liken to closing the door of a luxury German car. It just screams quality and thoughtful design.
The handle swings to reposition so that you can push the stroller with your bundle of joy facing you or facing away. It also comes with a bassinet for the newborn and a hammock style seat for sitting in.
My favorite feature of the Bugaboo is that you can literally steer it with one finger. It manuvers very easily and because of its big wheels, makes it comfortable for your baby. It can literally turn on a dime. Because of its smart design and easy ride, it also makes it easy for to carry other things like books, baby supplies, a few groceries etc. The brake works like a charm and keeps the stroller completely locked while on.
The Bugaboo Stroller comes with a range of clips, baskets and ad ons which we never really used. It weighs 18 pounds which is actually less than the Bugaboo Cameleon, the next generation of this stroller line that we do not own.
We have had ours for three years and it still in very very good shape.
