Bottom-Line: We are very pleased with Buffalo Wild Wings Bar & Grill, and I have no complaints about the service, the wings are outstanding.
I like Buffalo wings despite the fact I do not by-and-large enjoy overly hot food. So I prefer like my wings mild, with just a hint of liquid heat. But you would not believe how difficult it is to find decent Buffalo wings, anywhere. The closest I've come to sampling the perfect Buffalo Wing is at Bennigans and we live too far from the nearest of those chain restaurants to make it a frequent stop. KFC has decent BBQ wings, but I always feel as though I am being ripped off because the wings are so small, and cost a pretty penny.
So when a Buffalo Wild Wings Bar & Grill opened its door not too far from my house in the neighboring city of Warrenville, I decided to give them a try despite the fact that I had never heard of the restaurant chain before.
Atmosphere & Service
The motif inside the restaurant is decidedly sport bar inspired, with the aforementioned large screen televisions, and loud music, emanating from an all too dark interior. You can choose to sit down and be waited on or order you food from the counter and take it home; or I suppose you could order and then take a seat and order a beer. The times I have visited I called ahead, placed my order and then took it home with me.
Menu Choices & Food
My Viewpoint
As you can see, the selection of foods at Buffalo Wild Wings Bar & Grill is decidedly well, bar & grill fair, but there is a wide variety to choose from, but they can be a little on the expensive side. For instance Ultimate Nachos will cost you $6.99, while Loaded Chile Potatoes Skins, rings up at $6.89.
My experience is only with the wings, and they are delicious. I order on Tuesday's which is $0.35 a wing day at my local restaurant. You can order the wings smothered in a number of different sauces including teriyaki, sweet BBQ, smoky southwestern, spicy garlic, Caribbean Jerk, hot BBQ, and Blazin' just to name a few. So far I have only tried the smoky southwestern but I have vowed to try the Caribbean Jerk the next time around.
Concluding Viewpoint
We are very pleased with Buffalo Wild Wings Bar & Grill. The atmosphere is agreeable if you like the Sports Bar look; I have no complaints about the service, the wings are outstanding, and the prices, while not as low as I'd like, are reasonable, but I will always by out wings of Tuesday thank you.
