Budget Rental Car has a FastBreak program that allows you to put your profile information in their program. You can also pick a GPS, fuel options ahead of time. Then when you get to the airport, especially some of the larger airports, you get dropped off at your car or a screen that tells you which car to go to. You get in the car, show your drivers license as you leave and you are on your way. Clearly the easiest plan out there. Also as a FastBreak member, you can ask for a different car if you don't like the one they picked for you. At the smaller airports, they have a special Fast...
review »We recently went to Orlando Florida, and booked a budget rental car for the week. There are a few things I learned about rental cars; which I'm sure most people who use them know, but I did not! I thought I got a great deal at $36.99 per day. We flew in, and were exhausted. My hubby went to the counter alone, and the lady there told him initial here, here, here, and here, and sign here. He did so! (I know I know.....) He assumed he was initialing the rate for our car, but instead he was initialing an extra fee of $24.99 per day for damage insurance. I am not speaking for ALL...
review »The Bottom Line: This is the first rental company that know past renter respect. In your car in under 2 minutes in Hawaii
Every February we enjoy 2 weeks at our timeshare on Maui. We have experienced the most costly rentals since the Hawaiian government adds close to $70 a week in taxes on rentals. I started with Alamo, seemed like good rates, but their van no longer takes luggage & companions. SO my husband has to stay to the airport with our luggage as I ride the van to get the car. 4 out of 5 times it is close to 30 minutes until I return. So then I went to Thrifty, had their Blue Chip card...
review »Fast! Affordable! No hassels! These would perfectly describe my rental experience with Budget. I needed an economy car for a 2 week rental. I paid $350 for a Nissan Sentra. This was such a fast, roomy, and economic car. I think I want this car when I make my next purchase! Of course since I'm a Fastbreak customer, I had my car sitting there waiting for me as soon as I got out of the airport shuttle. And dropping it off was just as quick, just one look at the gas tank and the car, a quick punch of numbers, and there I had my receipt! Definitely worth the price, though it was...

I had a very similar experience.
We arrived in Toronto called the local number 3 times finally got someone to answer, when they finally decided to have someone pick us up a beat up van pulled up. The driver stepped out opened the back doors and made us put our own luggage in the back (I'm 5 months pregnant). Got into the van and...
Budget Car rental are cheats and have the worst customer support I have ever seen.
No wonder the company did not survive by itself and was taken over by Avis.
I booked a oneway rental from Ohare on 7th June, the booking was done through expedia where I had declined the insurance. Also when I picked up the rental car I was told to sign in places to decline the insurance. The cheat/lady at the counter repeatedly told me that I was declining the insurance and that I would not be covered, which I agreed to as I have my own car insurance.
To my surprise, I was charged insurance and when I contacted...
Budget Rental is the most unethical, unprofessional and has the lamest customer service ever! At Orlando airport, we stood in line for over an hour to get the car that I had rented online. The intermediate car that I chose was $204.74 and I wound up with a gold Mustang costing 379.74. The Budget rep says I have a really great deal for you in fact I'm ashamed for anyone to see it....so, he writes it on a piece of paper and shows it to us along with a picture of a blue Mustang. The rate of $175.00 was on the paper and I knew that it was less than what I had agreed to...I said "Oh, that's...

Reserved a car for 1 week in Seattle on budget.com - small economy car, good rate. Landed in Sea-Tac, and rented the car, contract looked good. Went to get our car - was supposed to be a Ford Focus - it was a Lincoln Town Car! OK, no problem, the contract had the rate I requested. Had the car for a week, no problems with it. We had an early flight out - so, per the rental agent's instructions, had to drop the car off with no attendant there. BIG MISTAKE - don't ever do this. If you rent a car, ALWAYS make sure you check out with an actual human being.
When I got home, my credit card bill was...
