The Bottom Line:  This is the first rental company that know past renter respect. In your car in under 2 minutes in Hawaii — Every February we enjoy 2 weeks at our timeshare on Maui. We have experienced the most costly rentals since the Hawaiian government adds close to $70 a week in taxes on rentals. I started with Alamo, seemed like good rates, but their van no longer takes luggage & companions. On April 29, 2008 we returned to Canada from a wonderful three week holiday in Israel. Our holiday was only marred by Budget s surreal response when our rental car broke down 25 minutes outside Jerusalem. A month or so before my trip to Seattle, I reserved a rental car through budget.com.  I reserved a mid-size vehicle for 9 days and got what I felt like was a good price at about $380.  When I got to Seattle and to the Budget desk, I was told I was going to be driving a PT Cruiser.  I hate PT Cruisers and, no offense to those of you that love them and own them, I did not want to be seen driving one.  I told the woman behind the desk that I had a strong aversion to the PT Cruiser and asked if there was something else available.  She told me that for an extra $9 a day I… read full review »

Fast!  Affordable!  No hassels!  These would perfectly describe my rental experience with Budget.  I needed an economy car for a 2 week rental.  I paid $350 for a Nissan Sentra.  This was such a fast, roomy, and economic car.  I think I want this car when I make my next purchase!  Of course since I'm a Fastbreak customer, I had my car sitting there waiting for me as soon as I got out of the airport shuttle.  And dropping it off was just as quick, just one look at the gas tank and the car, a quick punch of numbers, and there I had my receipt! … read full review »

I had rented car from Budget Chicago airport OHare. The guys are pretty rude upfront anyways. You think you saved maybe 10-20 $ by going with these cheap companies but in reality you will pay 20-30 times what you saved in case you have any problem and need customer service with these guys. — — I think thats how they loot customers. I reserved my car almost a month in advance of our trip and requested a smoking full size vehicle. When we got to the desk at the airport, they said they didn't have anything in full size available but we could get an SUV for only $9 more per day. I told them if I had wanted an SUV, I would have reserved one in my reservation. I also told them that I reserved it on Hotwire and they wouldn't let me make any changes so why could they? I reserved an economy car, since I am on a very tight budget. Received a compact car. I have to worry about gas costs. The car was dirty, and had a red stain on the front passenger floorboard, and one in the back on the same side.I had to wait at the counter for 5 min. for someone to come out of the back to wait on me.Luckily, 3 guys who work at the airport came up to talk to the clerk at the car rental counter right next to mine, and then they asked if I had been waited on.They were going to see where the clerk was, and about that time she came out. I have been renting from Budget for serveral years.  The only time I will use a different company is if Budget does not have any cars where I am going.  I have had excellant service in several places:  Los Angeles, Albequerque, Dulles (DC), Orlando, Charlotte, Columbus, OH and more.  I am a Fastbreak member and usually rent through Southwest.  I get great prices and am always treated like a queen.  Someplaces I as in Charlotte I am take to an area and told to pick whichever car I want.  In other places I get extremely fast and courteous service.  I… read full review »

I have been renting cars for many years now and I must say that I keep returning to Budget Worcester,MA everytime because I am well taken care of and always am able to depend on them for a clean car and exceptional service. The manager of this location is thorough , always available and they are the only location open even on sundays. What more can you ask for than availability and service? Oh, they're prices are always lower than the competions as well. I recently rented cars through Budget at three stops (islands) during our Hawaiian vacation. I rate my satisfaction as Oahu=Good, Kauai=Poor, Maui=Excellent. The Kauai airport location was craming Suburu Impreza'a down your throat whereas the Maui airport rental office does not carry that automobile (I know why). We were expecting a Ford Focus at the three stops but got a Vibe-Impreza- Focus. I know there is not brand guarantee but the quality should be equivilant. We recently moved from Minnesota to Missouri and needed to rent a truck.  We opted for the 10 foot truck, but found out a few days prior that due to the shortage of 10 foot trucks, we would be given a 15 foot truck.  The price didn't change and we were given unlimited miles, but we had quite a bit of extra room.  The individuals that helped us were extremely friendly.  I would definately use Budget again, but don't be surprised if you are given something bigger than what you need.… read full review »

I find that generally Budget.com has great rates.   The toll free reservations line can sometimes be a wait, but book online, find some coupons that you can use, you can even earn frequent flier miles! — I've found better rates thru Hotwire, but then you don;t know who you are renting from.   The Budget offices I deal with in Chicago and San Juan know me well, and will often volunteer an upgrade if I don;t have a coupon (try the entertainment book!) — … read full review »

The owner of the Budget Car Rental Agency at Ogden, Utah Airport changed their written — contract and charged us a $1.00 a mile for our rental from the Ogden Airport to the Spokane, — Washington Airport, which was over 750 miles.
