Budget Rental Car Review

I reserved my car almost a month in advance of our trip and requested a smoking full size vehicle. When we got to the desk at the airport, they said they didn't have anything in full size available but we could get an SUV for only $9 more per day. I told them if I had wanted an SUV, I would have reserved one in my reservation. I also told them that I reserved it on Hotwire and they wouldn't let me make any changes so why could they? I was also informed that they don't have any smoking cars although no where on the website does it state that, it actually gives you a choice of it. I even called the branch in the city we arrived in to ask specifically about smoking cars and they said oh just request it when you arrive.

After waiting there for almost 40 minutes, they finally brought a full size car up to us and we were on our way. I was disappointed that we had to wait since I missed an important meeting that we were scheduled for, but that didn't seem to matter to them at all. The car was nice and clean and it rode great, so not all was lost.
