Budget Rental Car Review

The Bottom Line:  This is the first rental company that know past renter respect. In your car in under 2 minutes in Hawaii

Every February we enjoy 2 weeks at our timeshare on Maui. We have experienced the most costly rentals since the Hawaiian government adds close to $70 a week in taxes on rentals. I started with Alamo, seemed like good rates, but their van no longer takes luggage & companions. SO my husband has to stay to the airport with our luggage as I ride the van to get the car. 4 out of 5 times it is close to 30 minutes until I return. So then I went to Thrifty, had their Blue Chip card with the blue carpet area for immediately service - WRONG, close to 30 minutes to be served as regular customers in line get service first. Last year I was upgraded to a Lincoln-Continental. A woman,talking on her cell, rolls into us doing no damage, and a police report was done on her & we were told we had no damage so we could go. A year later a collection agency calls us asking why we never paid for collision damage to the rear of the car. $770! Her insurance agency put a AT FAULT on my driving record. So I am still dealing with Hawaii Insurance Dept and this fraud.

So the past year & this year we are dealing with Budget. We also are members of their Fast Break club. We rented with them in Atlanta at Hartfield airport with a van awaiting us. Gave card to driver who radio'd that we were coming. Arrive at counter to get keys & space number & I sign the contract putting it on my Signature VISA card. (Visa pays all damages including loss of use). Walk out to space number & get in car! Then in Maui, again van waiting for folks til next van shows. Again my card info radio'd in, but this time since I have rented before & using same credit card, I go to the kiosk, enter reservation number, out drops keys & paper has space number & car type on it. Under 2 minutes to get in car - A RECORD!!!!

Went you return the car, you follow signs where to go, and they check for full tank & give you receipt & you leave. Again under 3 minutes. THESE FOLKS ARE WONDERFUL!!!!! Forget Thrifty with their fraudulent ways & Alamo with all their NO's. I absolutely am sold on Budget.
