This pineapple corer is easy to use, just click the handle into the corer and then slice the top off of your pineapple, then you just place the corer in the center of the pineapple where you can see the core and push down and twist. I really liked the idea of this tool because I never liked cutting up a pineapple. But this way is really easy and it's dishwasher safe which is a must in my household! There are some cons for this kitchen gadget. It's made out of plastic so after using ours for about 6 months, the locking mechanism in the handle stopped clicking together and would slide out of it. I liked the tool so much that we tried to make a makeshift handle by sticking a wooden spoon through the holes and twisting. That worked for a while too but then not anymore. I know there are stainless steel versions of this out there so I might look into buying one of those as long as it's dishwasher safe. The other problem is that I never felt like it cut as close to the edge of the skin as I would have liked so it got the middle of the pineapple but I felt like it left a lot of the good fruit attached to the skin. I still give it a four even though it stopped working for us because it did work well when it worked if that makes sense. I would suggest a metal version instead. Durability It worked for awhile but then because it was plastic the pieces stopped fitting together making the item useless. A metal one would be better.

I am a lover of all kitchen gadgets, but this one truly is functional because it's time saving and fun to do! My husband and I love to eat fresh pineapple. But peeling it and getting the stringy core out was always a major hassle. Once I purchased the BrylaneHome Pineapple Corer-Slicer we can now eat it as often as we wish without all the struggle. You simply cut off the green top of the pinepple straight across and then place the device over the top of the fruit and twist the handle. After a few turns you will feel when you have hit the bottom of the fruit and then you can pull the handle back for a wonderful surprise. You will be rewarded with a nice stack of sliced pineapple rings to eat fresh or use in your favorite recipe. You can use the hollowed out pineapple shell if you like to serve the pineapple if you wish to cut your rings into chunks. This device will have neatly removed the core. It is also easy to clean as the push button release allows you to clean every inch of the gadget.

I love this thing! We buy fresh pinapples all the time and use this. The biggest problems are that it is only one size, so if you have a very fat pinapple you are missing some of the meat, and also that is can get quite messy is you accidentally go through the bottom of the pinapple.

The wonderful product of Brylane Pineapple corer was a godsend for my breakfast.  I  was in charge of feeding 250 people for a breakfast brunch at the Elks lodge.  We were serving fres h fruit for our brunch and this item saved a lot of time and energy for our buffet table.  I just cut of the top of the pineapple and ran the Brylane Pineapple corer through the pineapple and it was ready to put on the display table.
