Brunswick Pro Bowling for Nintendo Wii Review

Brunswick Pro Bowling for Nintendo Wii is great fun.  I used to be an avid bowled and was sidelined permanently due to injuries. 

You can open bowl or make a profile and develop your identity. This game is a bit of a challenge b/c you have to learn your bowling personality's style.  You give your bowler attributes and can bowl in leagues and tournaments as you progress.  As you become more accurate and your average increases it is reflected in your bowling personality.

There are some goofy animations when you hit the pins which slow the game down unless you turn them off.  You can turn the music off but the talking in the background as you bowl  is a real turn off.  I love hearing the ball and pins which are quite realistic, but there is no way to get rid of the human 'chatter' that loops every 20 seconds or so.

They have lanes configured to allow the oil on the lanes to change just as they would on real lanes.  Some of the hooks the characters are given can be hard to compensate for but it is fun learning. There are quite a few different locations for the bowling alleys too which is quite interesting.  All in all these features keep the game interesting.

If you league and tournament bowl, it keeps a running tally of your statistics. 

I could wish it was a little more flexible in its preferences. We have not figured out a way for hubby and I to league bowl together although there may be a way.  If so, it is not readily apparent.  And in the open bowling areas there is no easy way to keep bowling after a game is done.  You have to drop back a level and re-choose who is bowling.  I would rather it just keep going with the bowlers that were established.

Mostly I love this game because it lets me enjoy bowling once again.  And it is super exercise for me.
