I haven't tried Brown Cow for a while. I remember it having a well-defined creamy layer on top, part of the natural separation of yogurt made with non-homogenized milk. Now it seems different. The flavor is still quite good, but the consistency seems to have changed and the creamy top is missing. I see on the label that besides the milk and the lacto-bacteria, they also use pectin -- which gives some yogurts their thickness. Is this new for Brown Cow? Is it possibly the result of being bought out by some corporate giant? The pectin could be the reason the creamy top is missing, and unfortunate in that pectin gives yogurt a "slimy" consistency that is common in a lot of commercial brand yogurts (some are a lot worse than others). Brown Cow used to be different, now it seems to be just more like all the rest. Still good, but something is missing (or added). I still recommend it, but with reservations.

I am a big fan of plain yogurt, no sugar or flavors for me. I have tried almost all brands in the market and none had fully satisfied me, until I discovered Brown Cow. What a treat! It is all fresh, smooth and creamy. I have it on bread or with some fresh fruit or just on its own. For me it works as an excellent dessert!

As a treat, whenever I go to my local health food store I like to pick up a few of the Brown Cow All Natural Cream Top Yogurts. Ths yogurt is so delicious, and such a treat to me. It tastes very much like a dessert. It is so fresh, and rich tasting. Just by tasting it you can tell that it is made from all natural high quality ingredients. This yogurt is different from regular yogurts because it has the wonderful layer of cream on the top. My favorite flavor is the maple, but I also like the fruit on the bottom flavors too. I wouldn't eat this on a regular basis though because it doesn't have a high protein content. I like to eat Greek yogurts everyday that usually have at least 14 grams of protein. This is more of an indulgent yogurt to me. The nutrition facts: 170 calories, 7 g fat, 25 mg cholestrol, 85 mg sodium, 300 mg potassium, 21 g sugar, 5 g protein, 6% vitamin am, 20% calcium, and it is only made out of natural ingreients such as cultured pasturized milk, sugar, pure maple syrup, pectin, and has natural flavors. Like I said, I really enjoy this yogurt, and I like to have it as a reat but because of the low protein content, and the sweet dessert like flavor I probably wouldn't eat this everyday. Also it's pricey to eat as an everyday yogurt too. This is a delicious, healthy, and fantastic yogurt. If you love yogurt this should be on your list of yogurts to try. Flavor/Taste This is the best tasting yogurt I have ever tried. The cream on the top is absolutely delicious, and rich tasting. It's almost like a desser to me, and the maple flavor is amazing. You can tell this is made from all natural high quality ingredients. I like having this instead of an ice cream, because it is very satisfying. Variety They have a few different flavors of the regular crema top. They have maple, coffee, plain, pom berry, and vanilla. They have the fruit on the bottom flavors like blueberry, cherry vanilla, apricot mango, and lemon twist just to name a few. Consistency It has a really nice creamy, thick, and smooth consistency to it. The cream top layers are very rich, thick, and creamy as well. The consistency of this yogurt makes it taste luxurious and absolutely delicious. Convenience I usually can't find this at my regular grocery store, so I have to make an extra trip to the health food store. They should stock this at more stores since it tastes so good. But I don't mind making the extra trip because I love this yogurt.

These were on sale and I had a coupon for them so I decided to give them a try as they were a new item at my local grocery store. I got a few different flavors and tried them all out. The strawberry flavor was the best out of all of them, it had a great strawberry flavor and was rich and creamy and had the perfect consistency without being too thick. I did not like the vanilla flavor of this, it did not taste like vanilla at all to me and had a very odd flavor in it that made me just throw it away. My main issue with this yogurt is how many of them I had that went bad before their expiration date. I bought twenty yogurts and I was able to eat 7 of them before they went bad, all of the rest went bad and their expiration date was still two weeks out. I am not sure if I just got a bad batch or what, but it put a bad taste in my mouth and I was not going to spend the money again to buy that many yogurts for them to go bad that fast.

I love yogurt as a snack and something to cure my sweet tooth. Recently I was doing a few yogurt reviews on here and saw Brown Cow All Natural cream top yogurt with really high reviews. I decided to try to find some of it and see for myself if it was that great. My fellow viewpointer's were right, this yogurt is GREAT! I began by looking online to see where I could find this yogurt because my small town doesn't offer many grocery options, especially for any all natural products. There was nowhere here that sold it but I did find out I could by it at a Whole Foods not that far away. I went and picked up a few containers of the strawberry flavor of the cream top yogurt. I was kind of skeptical about the cream on top but once I mixed it in and tried it, I changed my mind. This is the best yogurt I have ever tried. It is so rich and creamy. It is like having a high quality dessert. I didn't know yogurt could taste this decadent. Can I please just eat this yogurt for the rest of my life? Not only is this yogurt SO incredibly good, it is also a high quality product. It is all natural. In the strawberry version of it there are 180 calories. I will admit the fat is a little higher than I would like [6 grams] but honestly, it's worth it. When you look at the ingredient list the strawberry one has less than 10 ingredient and you can actually pronounce them all! It's rare to see an ingredient list that you can actually read currently. Go buy the Brown Cow All Natural cream top yogurt. I am so glad for the trusted reviews on here because all the reviewers were accurate! This yogurt is so decadent and delicious while being all natural!

This yogurt is simply to die for. It tastes like you are eating cheesecake out of a cup and is truly a treat for me. It is not for your everyday watching what you eat consumption, as it runs 150-200 calories per serving. It's for that "I want a treat that feels like I indulged, but don't want to completely blow my diet" craving. You will be satisfied. It comes in several flavors: plain, maple, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, etc. Raspberry and blueberry are my absolute favorites! The only other flavor I have tried is strawberry and while that's usually a favorite in other brands, not so much in this one. I love that they use RBST free milk to make their products. Two things would make me love this product even more. If they went organic, like all in. I love that hormone free milk is used, but as all berries are on the "Dirty Dozen" list, these need to be organic as well. The other is if they were more easily available. I can only find them at one of my local Kroger stores and at Whole Foods.

You just have to open a Brown Cow Whole Milk yogurt container to know that you are in for a treat. Right on top is a layer of fresh cream. Once you stir the cream up into the rest of the yogurt it becomes a smooth and creamy delight. The color also suggests natural goodness. It is a light brown creamy color instead of the gelatin consistency of most other yogurts. My favorites are the vanilla and maple flavors. Try some and experience a little piece of heaven on earth!

I used to swear by Stonyfield Farms Whole Milk Yogurt - the French Vanilla flavor in particular - until last year, when my wife decreed that our house would be entirely gluten-free. Unfortunately, Stonyfield Farms adds inulin fiber to their yogurt, so despite the fact that it is all the more digestible for it, their entire line is disqualified for containing small amounts of gluten. I tried a couple of brands that were certified gluten-free, and in the process, discovered Brown Cow Cream Top Yogurt. It's smooth,creamy, tastes great, and is widely available. While I'm not a big fan of their vanilla flavor, usually opting to get the plain variety and sweeten it with honey, agave nectar, or maple syrup, I recently discovered their maple flavor, which is out of this world. So good. Ambrosia. Sweetened with pure maple syrup and evaporated cane juice, it is so tasty that it's hard to stop at just a cup of the stuff. Which is what I try to do, because although it is free of nasty chemicals, it has eight grams of fat per eight ounce serving (five grams saturated fat). For those of you who may ask, "Why not eat the fat-free  kind?" I've got to tell you that once you've had the real, whole milk, cream on top stuff, the other just won't do. Moderation is the key, but many's the time I've eaten half of the 32-ounce container before I've realized it. In addition to the vanilla and maple, there are also several delicious fruit flavors. In any case, if you like yogurt, you will love Brown Cow, especially the maple. Food of the gods, I tells ya...
