Brother Odd is one of my favorites in the Odd Thomas Series. It has the classic elements of both a mystery and a thriller. Odd Thomas is still rather young and the setting combined with his youth creates an innocence that makes the sinister evil that Odd faces all the more striking.
The placement of the story with religious Brothers on one side and Sisters on the other working together to protect disabled children adds a unique flavor to this book which helps give the book its title.
In reading the book I knew the Odd Series was really going to take off in an infinite possibility of directions.
This is too good to miss.
