This book is fantastic! Even though it is the THIRD in the series of Brother Odd ,you can read it and still understand the story as it explains about who Odd is,where he's come from,a bit about his past to help you understand him now.It smoothly blends in from book 1 into book 2 and then into book 3.Odd can see ghosts, demons, and a whole gambit of "creatures" from the... shall we say...DEAD ZONE?One he sees is the Bodach which signifies a great disaster with a huge death toll to come and he must figure out what that is and try to avert it,if at all possible. It's the good VS evil battle with a twist. The good is a mortal man who sees and yes, talks to ghosts as well. One he frequently sees loves Elvis, even dresses like "the King",and loves his music.

All 3 books in the series were a refreshing change of pace from the usual blood, gore, and death that usually haunts Koontz' books.I was hoping for some more Brother Odd books to come out in the series, but I guess they'aren't coming!

I recommend all 3 in this series!
