The Brother MFC-7450 laser printer is a monochrome (black ink only) laser printer which works very well for either a home or small business where color printing is not important. It is a multi-function printer which prints, faxes, copies and scans. We used it in our small business for faxing, printing and copying and we never outgrew it. It prints very quickly and is very good quality. The only drawback other then lack of color is that the toner cartridges are pretty expensive but they last quite a long time and on a per page basis are cheaper then the inkjet printer cartridges. The copy quality is very good and fast also. The automatic feeder is convenient and works well. It holds a good amount of paper so you don't have to constantly refill the tray. The scanner worked well but is not very intuitive. I'm pretty good with computers and I would have to play around with it every time I wanted to scan something in order to make it work. I probably didn't scan enough to remember what needed to be done. All in all it is a very good multi-function printer that works well at home or in a small business office environment.
