Brother MFC-490cw Color Flatbed All-In-One Reviews

I Bet my Brother MFC-490CW is Smarter than a 5th Grader!  It's the only printer with a mind of it's own that let's me know immediately if I must change the cartridge; open or close a door ext.  In fact, it seems to have a brain.  Anyways, I seriously use this 5-in-1 every single day and it is a stellar product.  The only problem being is that if you use it regularly, you will be changing one of the many color cartridges quite frequently.  It actually has 4 color cartridges and if one is out...the device will not work.  I've been able to overcome some of the high costs by having a refill kit...

I am reviewing the Brother MFC 490CW. It is a printer, copier,scanner, fax and captures photos from your camera! I have not personally used the photo capture feature so I will not be reviewing it. I do use the printer, fax, copier on a daily basis, and scanner on a weekly basis, and just love all the functions. I can enlarge and reduce my copies and faxes, print confirmations to faxes sent. I can do this in Black and White or in Color. Set up was snap, and can even print from my laptop wirelessly!! I am not to happy with the on-line registration process......for Brother Products or its added software,...

I love this printer!  The reason I purchased this printer was for the wireless capability.  Although it took a bit of time to set it up for wireless printing, once I got it set, there have been NO issues at all.  The print quality is great.  I haven't printed any pictures on it, but I print tones of coupons and documents, both color and b/w, all the time.  The printer is not too bulky so it doesn't take up much space on my desk.  It's pretty fast when printing multiple pages.  As I stated, the feature of this printer that was most valuable was the wireless printing.  I've connected 3 laptops...

The Brother MFC490CW printer is an easy to use all in one printer that does faxing, scanning, copying or printing. One of the best features about the MFC490CW is the wireless printing feature that lets you print from you laptop from anywhere in the house.The paper tray is small and you can't see when the tray is empty. You just have to wait until it beeps and says it need more paper. It uses four cartridges so you only have to replace the color that is empty. But the cartridges can be expensive so I often use the no name brand. I hope this doesn't cause any problem in the future, but I save around...
