Brother MFC-420CN USB Printer Review

The Brothers MFC Printer is alright for faxing and copying only.  One of the biggest factors that sold me on buying this printer was the price, I got it for only $79. Another big reason I purchased it was that it is 4 in 1; a printer, copier, fax, and scanner. I especially like that it can do all those in color (except fax of course). I also like the fact that it can be placed practically anywhere; on a desk, counter, under a table, on a shelf. And it's Brothers so you're able to see on the computer the ink cartridge levels.  But there are a couple of things I don't like, such as you have to open it from the side and then pull up like you're looking under a hud of a car but it is not stable, it has a little plastic lever to hold it up. The USB cord goes "Under the Hud", and then wraps around it and the cord is short so it has to sit directly by the pc. I also hate that you need 4 different ink cartridges and if one is out you can't use it until you replace the empty cartridge. It also does not hold alot of paper in the paper slot. Overall, it's good for faxing and for use at home.
