I started sewing twelve years ago when I received a very basic brother sewing machine for Christmas from my mother in law.  About four years ago I decided to take the plunge and buy a more advanced sewing machine with more features.  I researched and tested and researched some more.  I began to lose hope of being able to afford a nice sewing machine when I saw the price tag on the machines I was looking at was way out of my price range.  After discussing my dilema with a craft store clerk one day she recommended the Brother CS-8072.  It was love at first sight.  This machine has all the features of the more expensive machines without the hefty price tag.  My favorite feature is the button hole.  In the last four years I have not found anything that this machine can't do.  I love the fact that I can adjust the speed of the stitching and that it doesn't require a foot pedal but does include one in case you prefer it.  This machine is worth way more than the pricetag.

the brother cs 8072 works well for the biggest jobs like a quilt and the smallest ones like a simple pocket repair too. I especially love the fact that i can personalize an outfit with one of the fancier stitches. I sew for hobby, making pet clothes, such as coats and dresses for my girls. halloween costumes, for my son and for the dogs as well. I even make doll clothes, which I give to my neices for presents. I have even made webkin clothes, using the patterns that i have for my pets.My husband was the one to buy this machine for me, I was worried about the price, but my brother has never given me a problem and i have had this machine for over 3 years. I originally was going to get an embroidery machine, but found that with some creativity, i can do just as well as, if not better, due to my not being constricted by imagination. if i had to do over, i would choose this machine for my needs.
