Yesterday my mom and I once again visited the infamous Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. We have been there many times, but we never go just to shop. Instead we find Bronner's to be a fun Christmas attraction to get you in the mood for the holidays, and maybe you'll find a few new ornaments :) This store is open all year round so you can start your Christmas celebrating as early as you want!
Where is it?
It takes us an hour and a half to get to this attraction, so you can see that it is worth the trip. People come from all over to experience the world's largest Christmas store. The store is located in Michigan just North of Birch Run Prime Outlets and just South of Frankenmuth's Main Street where the famous restaurant Zehnder's is located. This means that we were able to shop at Birch Run, eat at Zehnder's, and visit Bronner's all in one day.
Do you love Christmas?
Then you should make it a point to visit Bronner's Christmas Wonderland if you are ever able to. Even if you are not going to "shop", it is still a fun place to visit as it really puts you in the Christmas Spirit. We try to visit once a year and often we only buy one or two little things. It's not about shopping for us, it's about seeing all the Christmas cheer, taking pictures with the decorations outside the store, and enjoying the atmosphere of the store.
Do you need Christmas Supplies?
If you DO want to shop, the store sells thousands of ornaments, decorations, trees, cards, and other Christmas decorations. It would be easy to spend hundred's of dollars there if you wanted. I see so many items that I don't buy simply because I don't have room for it in my house, but since I have so many choices, I'm always able to find a thing or two to add to my holiday decor. This year I just moved into a new house and wanted a tree. My furniture is too heavy to move, so I couldn't have anything over 30" in diameter but I wanted it to be 6.5". Unfortunately every store in the local area did not have anything this skinny. We went to Bronner's and asked the tree department and they were able to show us at least 3 different choices that were the perfect diameter and height I needed.
Can't make it there?
If traveling to Frankenmuth is not in your plans, you can still purchase the items online! I highly recommend visiting this attraction, but if you simply cannot, then go to the website www.bronners.com and shop around. On the plus side, you can find products much easier than in the store. On the down side, you don't get the experience of looking at hundreds of ornaments hanging on shelves and beautifully decorated trees throughout the entire store.
The End!
The products can be pricey at times and discounted at others, but in the end it's worth it to buy a few nice decorations every year. The experience at Bronner's is much more than just shopping, it's an overall fun Christmas outing! I wouldn't bring kids under 10 although many people do. I see many kids get tired, overwhelmed, and cranky. Instead, grab your adult friends and family and make a day of it! Weekends are more crowded then weekdays, especially as Christmas nears, but maybe you like crowds :) Make a plan to get there today!!
