Mookychick says "Best and only choice for our family." about Britax Roundabout

I am a mother of three. Our family has seen our fair share of carseats, and I have to say that the Britax Roundabout was the best seat that I purchased. I wish I had bought a britax for my oldest two children. We used the Britax for our daughter since the day we left the hospital. She used the seat till she was a little under three years old. I am sure we could have used it longer even, but she wanted a booster like her older brother.

This seat was amazing and I was sad to see it go. The cover that came with it (puppy love) was soft and velvety. She loved to be in it, and sometimes fell asleep before we even started the car. She immediately would put her head to the side and rest on the seat. We never needed to buy extra "pillows" to hold her head up because the seat supported her so well and was very cushioned. And even though the material was a velvety thick material, it was never too hot. We lived in Florida at the time of owning this carseat and it is summer there year round for the...
...

I bought the Britax roundabout for my first child mainly because I thought it was cute. I knew it was more expensive but that made sense since you could use it through all stages of the child, up until they get too big for it. Well, we still have it and our third child who is now 2 is still using it. The fabric looks unused as I remove it and wash it and it just looks very comfy for him to sit in. I would most definitely recommend this product to anyone with children....

kvelk1 says "The only brand of carseat you want for your child's protection" about Britax Roundabout

We bought the Britax Roundabout for my daughter, our second child, when she was born. We did use an infant carrier of another brand for her first 3 months, but moved her up to the Britax rear-facing when she was strong enough to be in a full carseat. This carseat is wonderful. It is VERY easy to adjust and tighten. The cover is very easily removed for washing, and believe me, we have had to wash it frequently! She has been forward facing in it from about 11 months until now, and she is almost 5 years old! I do not want to move her to a booster seat because this Britax protects her so well and she still fits in it perfectly. She's only 35 lbs. and it goes up to 40lbs., so we will keep her in it as long as we can. I whoel heartedly recommend this carseat for your child. It gets the top safety ratings and we can tighten it to where it moves less than an 1/8th inch on the seat. Superb! It comes in a number of patterns and colors. We have the moss green color and the...
...

We loved our Britax Roundabout while it lasted. It was passed on by a friend before it expired (and they do expire, even Britax!) and it was the most comfortable seat we've had for our daughter.

It's made of an extremely sturdy plastic and as for the comfort of the child, it is the most plush feeling seat you can find.

In terms of safety, it is one of the best options on the market with a five point harness system and anchoring but unfortunately, the price of the Britax brand makes it difficult for those with a limited income or budget.

Fortunately, there are other seats on the market that are rated just as safe as the Britax brands and for a far less costly price tag. The only feature you truly are giving up is the comfort of the seats which always come with one of the most comfortable covers and cushioning on the market. They also come with terrific seat covers which you can easily find replacements for and can interchange to fit your moods. You can even find the covers on E-Bay!
......

The Britax Roundabout has been the best car seat I have ever used! I have been through a few other brands of car seats and did not feel that any of them were at the safety level that I was expecting. When I came across britax roundabout I was sceptical but willing to give it a shot. From the minute I started installing it and saw how easy it was and the features it had, in the car I fell in love with it! All of the safety features on it were far beyond the others and I was extremely impressed! My daughter loved how comfortable it was and how nice it was to be able to fall asleep in the car without waking up with neck pain. Thank you Britax for making a car seat that feels like it was made just for us!
...

I am officially on my second Britax Roundabout, and when this car seat expires I will be purchasing a third. It is a large and heavy car seat, but I trust it better because of this. I feel the product has high quality pieces, and although it is bulky I feel assured that it wont break on impact or in an accident. It is a rear facing car seat as well as forward facing, so even though the price is steep it will last. The cover comes off easily, just the other day my daughter fell asleep in it with a sippy cup and was covered in milk when we got out of the car, but it was easy to take off toss in the wash and air dry. It took me 5 minutes tops to put it back on (i've had far more difficult car seat covers where the holes for the fasteners to go through are just too small, this is not the case here at all). My daughter is higher up in the car so she can see more out of the window and she really likes that as well. Also, when she falls asleep I can slightly recline her seat at a red light (easily...
...

I did not splurge on my Britax Roundabout until our 4th child. Boy, I wish I had sooner. It is beautiful, sturdy and has worn very well. It installs easily, which says a lot! Some car seats require you to be an acrobat to install them well. With this carseat it is only four easy steps: set on the carseat, hook the left and right straps into the latch system of your vehicle, put your knee in the seat to press it firmly to the vehicle seat, the pull each side of the straps firmly. Viola, the seat is in perfectly and does not wiggle about at all. Another featuer that I love is that it is simple to adjust the seat while your child is in it. No longer is it difficult to change the fit of the seat straps to your childs size. This is really important here where the weather changes at the drop of a hat, it is simple to adjust for a big fluffy coat, or warmer weather wear. Our child wears a back brace occassionally which changes their size dramatically, so this simple switch...
...

jerseymommy says "The safest and most comfortable carseat. Worth every penny!" about Britax Roundabout

I bought my Britax Roundabout back in 2005. It was the top rated carseat in "Consumer Reports" and I completely agree. The carseat itself is extremely well-padded. My kids never complain about being uncomfortable. The fabric itself is very durable -- it looks the same now as it did 4 years (and 2 kids) ago!

But more importantly, the police officer who installed it for me told me that this is the only carseat he will let his kids ride in. There is an extra strap in the back which gives the Britax carseats an extra level of security. That strap can also make it a pain in the neck to move from car-to-car, so I suggest that you pick which car you want to have the Britax installed into and then just leave it.

The 5-point harness sometimes gets twisted, but it's relatively easy to fix.

The Britax carseats are definitely not the cheapest ones in the market, but who wants to penny-pinch when it comes to such a clear difference in safety.
...

marlowen says "I love that the Britax Roundabout straps never get tangled!" about Britax Roundabout

Because we needed to get two carseats for our twins, we did a LOT of comparison shopping. Safety was extremely important as well as durability and how easy it was to get the kids in and out of the car. Cost was factored in very carefully, also.

Initially, we experienced "sticker shock" at the price of the Britax Roundabout, especially since we needed to get two of them. But after exhustive research, that's what we ended up buying. And I'm so glad we did!

I didn't realize how much I loved the Britax Roundabout seats until we bought a second pair of carseats for our other car. The kids are almost never in there, so we bought a very low cost pair of Costco seats. They're horrible! The straps are constantly tangled and flipped around. Such a pain to get the kids in and out of. And the seats themselves seem flimsy. I wouldn't dream of taking my kids on a longer road trip in them. They seem so uncomfortable. Also, they're difficult to install. I hate them.

BRITAX is a great name in both durability and safety. Granted you pay a little more for a BRITAX carseat but in my mind, it is well worth it! My little guy and gals have used BRITAX carseats because I love their safety ratings, the ease of use, and the comfort for their little bodies. Too many carseats don't offer enough in the way of comfort and our little ones are just strapped in along for the ride and can't do anything about it. I would definitely recommend a BRITAX for those who are in the market for a well-made, safe carseat!
...

The Britax Roundabout Convertable carseat is an extremely valuable asset for today's parent. It's very comfotable for the baby, which allows baby to sleep during long car rides- always a plus for the parent. It has the highest safety ratings, which makes for a secure, worry-free driving experience. The 5-point harness is so easy to use, and the adjustment-button makes getting in and out of the seat a breeze. I have this seat for all of my children, and I would never even think of using another. There are built in clamps which secure it to the seatbelt, so you don't have to mess with those annoying metal clips other carseat brands utilize. My kids are happy in this seat, and I am glad they love it as we're in the car a lot! These seats have gotten us through long road-trips with never a complaint from my children aging from 1-5 years of age. Talk about worth the money. You may have to pay a bit more for this seat, but who wouldn't want to spend the money on such...
...

I was very impressed by the Britax Roundabout- so much that I have since purchased another Britax carseat- it is a booster seat since my daughter is so much bigger now. I was familiar with the safety features of the Britax and that is why I was so interested in it. My daughter seems very comfortable in the seat and I love the fact that it is washable and very durable. I know that if needed, I could easily use this seat all avoer again if i have another baby. I also liked the fact that the fabric was so soft since my daughter frequently fell asleep in it and has very sensitive skin. I would definitly recommend the Britax Roundabout or any other Britax car seat. I am very satisfied with both seats.
...
