THis is a large car seat.  We have a minivan with the seperate bucket seats for the middle row so we have no problem with it fitting, but  you have a smaller car it will take up a lot of space and you probably won't be able to fit 2 more people across the seat comfortably.  Other than the size, which isn't an issue for us, I love the seat.  We initially tried a different Graco toddler seat and I hated it.  The Regent is easy to use, the straps adjust easily and don't get tangled and it cleans easily.  My son has a lot of room to grow and I love that he'll have room to grow while safely being in a 5 point harness.
