There is nothing more important than the safety of your little ones when riding in the car. Car accidents are the leading cause of death for kids. I am somewhat of a self-proclaimed 'car seat nazi'. My daughter, who is 7 now, rode in a Britax Roundabout and then went to Britax Husky. She's still in the Husky and will be until she doesn't fit any longer. Of course, in other cars, she rides in boosters, but we also love the Britax Parkway booster. Britax seats in general can be spendy but it's one thing that even the bargain shopper in me, wouldn't overlook. I looked for sales and was happy with every seat we've gotten.
The Parkway is light enough to toss between cars, using them on playdates, carpools, etc. I found a great deal when they were discontinuing a pattern and got them for $75 each. I bought two. That way we can always bring extra kids. I love that this booster has side impact. Many don't, or it's flimsy. It's easy for the height to be adjusted and for the back to be taken off if it's for a much larger child. For the most part, even if my daughter's friends are used to riding in backless boosters, I make them use this. I'm just 'mean' that way.
