We bought the Britax Marathon for my oldest daughter when she outgrew her regular carseat. We wanted her to be in a 5 point harness as long as possible, because it is safer than just a booster seat or a seatbelt alone.

This carseat has a weight limit of 65 pounds and height limit of 49". My oldest daughter outgrew the seat when she turned 9, so we bought her the Britax Regent. Our youngest daughter now uses it. She is 47 1/2" tall, and she still has some room to grow before she outgrows the seat. We have never had the straps on this seat twist, which is really nice. It has a tether strap, which should always be used, for added safety.  We are able to fit this seat very tightly into our Chevy Venture, with bucket seats.

The seat is certified for use on airplanes, so we take it with us when we fly on Southwest. It fit easily into the seats.

We have only used this seat as front facing, but it is also rear facing up to 35 pounds. Rear facing is the safest position for children, so you should try to keep them backward as long as you can.

When we bought this seat, it was the only one available to us with the higher weight and height limits. Since we bought this, several other companies have come out with higher weight and height toddler seats. This seat is nice, since it is also an infant seat as well.
