The Britax Marathon was recommended to me by other moms and now I can see why. Outstanding safety rating. Since it fits kids up to 65 pounds, we shouldn't ever have to buy another car seat. It works for rear facing up to 33 pounds which is important for extended rear facing, which I plan to do.

I was nervous about making the switch from the infant carrier car seat. My son liked his old car seat so much and since we have to drive at least 30 minutes to the nearest major city, it was imprtant that the seat be comfortable. I didn't need to worry! My son loves this car seat even more. He sits up higher and has a better view out the windows.

So glad we splurged to get this car seat!
