I bought the Britax Chaperone Infant Carrier for my first child and also used it with my second. It is very well-built, sturdy and easy to clean. The base is easy to install in the car and the carrier pops in and out of the base easily. It works well with the Britax stroller base. It is a bit heavy but that heft protects babies and provides additional safety.

I loved this car seat/carrier combo. My husband and I purchased this one for our second vehicle. It is easy to remove and attach from the base. Ease of Installation Installation of the base was pretty easy. Didn't have any concerns or issues. Easy to remove the carrier from the base as well. Child's Comfort My baby loved car rides in her seat. Mostly napped the whole ride. Support and Safety I felt safe with how the base attached to my car with the rear attachment and the seat belt. It was a very tight/secure fit. Meaning the base did not wiggle or move at all while driving. Felt very safe using this car seat. Design I loved the color choice of the red gray and black especially my husband it wasn't too girly for his car ha ha! Durability It lasted until my baby outgrew it with no issues!

I am very pleased with my Britax Chaperone. We used it for my son when he was under one years old and will use it again if we should have a third child. It worked very well with my Britax B-ready stroller. I love the red color and the stylish design. It is a heavy car seat but I didn't mind at all as I call it the mommy work out to take the baby in and out of the car. What really sold me on this car seat is the safety features. As not all car seats are equal and you really want your baby to be as safe as possible. My son looked super comfortable in his car seat and that is also an important. As if your child isn't comfortable, you aren't leaving the house. I felt that the installation process was easy and that the car seat was very secure. Again another important aspect when choosing a car seat. You don't want the car seat and the baby sliding all over the place. This is a quality product from a brand that is trustworthy and honest.

I was hesitant in purchasing such an expensive infant seat for my son in 2011. However, it has proven to be a wonderful investment. It is durable and safe and very easy to use. It is a little heavier than some of the other seats I have looked at. The britax bar in the front is a very good design and definitely made me feel more at ease with having my son in the seat. We used this seat until he was about 20 lbs or so and then it just got too heavy to lug around. So, we switched to the convertible car seat at that point. But, it was wonderful to have in the beginning. I would highly recommend the seat to friends and family. Design I really liked the different covers that Britax offers so that the look of the seat can be changed to your liking.

Very pleased with Britax again. We are repeat customers having put the older children in Britax Marathons now needing an infant seat once more. The sunshade on the Britax is more generous than our old Graco and the belts are much easier to adjust. It is a little more difficult to remove from the base than I would like but this could be a result of the vehicles we have installed it in, a Ford Excursion which necessitates standing on the running boards, and a GMC 2500 4x4. While I do not expect to use this seat as long as the Marathons it des look to be well constructed and durable. We expect to be able to use it up to the recommended weight limit which would be well over two years if this baby grows similarly to her siblings. Ease of Installation Base installs easily in our Excursion. Child's Comfort Seems tight with winter bunting for our 3 month old. Support and Safety Did not need additional head support.

This is the best infant carrier that we've come across, we love the rebound bar for added protection and stabilization in a rear in collision. The cover is also very easily to clean. We will warn you against packing the base when traveling on a plane, our was broken by the airlines and we had to file a claim, it is an awkward shape and easily broken if not properly packaged. Ease of Installation Installation was very easy. Child's Comfort Our daughter never showed any discomfort while in the seat. Support and Safety Britax is known for safety, and the rebound bar is an added bonus. Ease of Use single handle to release from the base. Design Nice design, easy to clean. Durability Did have some small scratches out of the box, but help up well after that.

We purchased this infant seat for our third child as we had Britax convertible seats for our older two and loved them. I have to say I was a bit dissapointed with it. Its very very heavy to carry and adjusting the fit of the harness straps with a child in it is difficult, the chest clip does not slide well and all and requires lots of tugging to get into the proper place. Also the straps seem to bow out around the neck area rather than lying flat. I do like that it has the anti rebound bar but this and its wide base cause it to take up a lot of space in the car. It was very easy to install with the latch system and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Overall I feel it was not worth the money and not up to par with their other products.

OK, while my wife was pregnant we spent a lot, I mean a LOT of time researching infant car seat for our first baby. After several days of this research we both agreed to buy Britax because of all safety features it has. We decide to try latest Chaperone car seat. We preorder it but found that most reviewers unhappy because it very big and can't be fit into car like Volvo, Subary and other sedan and SUV. We have Honda Accord. When we received it we were able to install it without any problem into the middle section of out vehicle. What we can say - if you try it you can install it everywhere. We were able to install it into VW Rabbit, not the biggest car, of course you can't use passenger's seat but it's OK for us. This seat fills very secured and looks like comfortable and our daughter likes to drive in it. She falls asleep almost immediately as we star driving. Of course its very hard to put her into seat but its not seat problem :). I highly recommend it to all my friends.

Being a safety conscious mom I did a lot of research on car seats before purchasing the Britax Chaperone Savannah. I loved the safety rating of this car seat and how many other parents rave about this product. The anti-rebound bar of the base makes it the safest car seat in its class. We own two bases, one on my Mazda 3 and one on my husband's Toyota Camry. The base is very easy to install and it makes a click sound when you attach the car seat to it that way you know it has attached correctly. The car seat itself seems very comfortable for my 3 month old son. The extra padding provides side impact protection to his head in the event of a crash. The seatbelt straps are easy to adjust and accommodate to a growing baby. I also love the design and the color of this infant car seat. We picked the Savannah style because it's neutral and can go both for a boy or a girl that way we will be able to use the same car seat on our next baby. Overall, the decisive factor for us to pay the extra money to purchase this car seat was safety and knowing that our little one would be protected in the event of a car accident.

After hearing everyone rave about Britax, I decided to buy one for my newborn.  The Chaperone says it supports up to 35 lbs.  What I didn't realize is just how heavy this seat is by itself.  By the time my son was 15 lbs, I was done with this seat.  I just couldn't lift it with my son in and out of the car anymore.  So it lasted us 4 months.  For 4 months of use, it was a very expensive car seat. The canopy never stayed up.  But otherwise, it was a nice car seat.  It was easy to fit the base into the car.  I liked how it tightens by turning the dial and you can see the seat depressing more and more into the car showing you that you have a snug fit.  The car seat easily snaps into the base. I did not buy the matching stroller.  I used my baby trend snap and go.  It was not a good fit.  The car seat just rested on the snap and go--not very safe at all.  I would recommend buying the matching stroller for this reason.
