Britax car seats were recommended to me before my daughter was born. I did my usual comparison shopping, and I found out they were rated as the safest car seats on the road. Some had complained about price, but how can price factor into your child's safety? We first purchased the Britax Marathon when my daughter was a few months old. This car seat proved it's worthiness when a lady ran a red light and t-boned my car, totaling it and completely smashing the mid-passenger section. Needless to say my daughter came out without a scratch. We immediately replaced that car seat with the Boulevard, an upgrade with side impact protection. This car seat has proved to be the same great quality, and further reduces my need for worry while my daughter is in the car. It reclines at a variety of levels. I love this feature because it allows me to use just a slight incline, and this keeps my daughter's head from flopping forward when she falls asleep in the car. I also love the pad added around the buckle. It gets very hot where we live, and this pad keeps the metal clasps from burning my daughter's skin. The seat installs very easily with the latch system, and has an added latch at the top to secure it from all directions. The only downfall to the seat is the weight. It's quite heavy to move from one car to the next, but that's only a small downfall. We just leave the seat in one car the majority of the time. Of course my daughter's favorite part of the Britax Boulevard the the hot pink and lime green flower print. She tells everyone she has a pink seat.
