After three weeks backpacking in Europe throughout three countries, we ended up at the Britannia Hotel at the ending of our trip. We showed up quite early, and the staff did everything imaginable to make us welcome, including bringing juice to the front desk while we were checking in, and making cappicino's to order while we waited for our room. The entire staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome our entire stay.
The Britannia puts on a great breakfast, (they offer traditional Italian fare and the only American style breakfast we encountered in Italy, included with lodging), and a wonderful atmosphere. The hotel also offers free wi-fi for guests. The rooms are quite nice with flat panel tv's, heated towel racks in the bathrooms, and even a tanning lamp next to the jetted tub. Marble columns and floors abound the the lobby and restaurant area.
There are many good restaurants nearby, and the great shopping starts just down the street. As stated, close to Termini for easy connections and city travel, but all of the major sites are within walking distance. The Britannia gets a major thumbs up.
