Great product

5

I am glad I bought this product. As a new mom I wanted to ensure water used for my DD is safe and with this product I have peace of mind. Best thing that it does not alter the taste or odor of water so my entire family happily drinks the water. Definitely recommend the product.

Provides cleaner water

4

I just recently bought my Brita water pitcher and so far I am pretty happy with it. First off I want to say that I think it is sold at a very reasonable and affordable price. You could easily spend much more money on water bottles in just a few months. And then you have to worry about reusing or recycling all of the water bottles. I used to be that person. I would only drink water from a water bottle and once the bottle was empty I would have to constantly refill it throughout the day because I drink lots of water. This usually ended up with me running out of filled water bottles and having to wait for water to get cold enough for me to drink. Since having this pitcher I haven't had to worry about these problems. I just fill the pitcher up, let the water filter through, and then once it is cold enough I drink it. And once the pitcher starts getting low I just fill it back up again. It is so convenient and the water really does taste cleaner. It makes me feel better about having my family drink water from the tap. My only complaint would be that the water does seem to filter kind of slowly and it takes a while to fill the pitcher. But otherwise I am very happy with my pitcher and think it is a great investment for myself, my family, and the environment.

Brita Aqualux: Fresh, Clean Water For A Price

4

I have owned several Brita pitchers for filtering water but the Aqualux is the one that works best with the bottom side shelf of my refrigerator. This is a step up from the Atlantis that can hold the same amount of water but the Aqualux has a gripper on the inside of the handle, a nicer flip up refill lid and the electronic filter reader does not five out after a year. Chances are I would still be using the Brita Atlantis if the filter reader hadn't stopped working. The screen went completely blank and even when pressing it and holding it for 15 to 20 seconds, there was absolutely no reading on the screen. I did get about three years of use from it before it died so I can't complain about it. The Aqualux has a nice tall, thin design to it but there are some issues with the water spout on the front. More than a few times it's become 'stuck' in the down position when I've gone to pour a glass of water. You would think that the force of the water would make it pop open but that doesn't always happen; when it does get stuck in the down position water is forced out of the sides of the lid and ends up all over the counter or table. You use standard Brita filter refills with this; those are not cheap but it is easier than going to a water fill machine and hauling all the gallon bottles back into the house. You need to soak the filters in water before you use them or you will end up with a lot of charcoal flakes at the bottom of the reservoir that will eventually make its way down in to where the water is stored after being filtered. That isn't going to hurt you but it does look a little odd. Regardless of the type of Brita pitcher, the inside needs to be cleaned out in a regular basis. I take the whole thing apart once a month when the pitcher is almost empty. I wash the inside of the pitcher, the water filter area and the lid. This helps keep the water that's being filtered as fresh as possible and allows you to check for any cracks or issues with the filter. The filter does slide in to place easier with this model than with others but if it isn't seated correctly you will see the water flow from the top to the bottom sections happens a lot faster. That means not all the water is making it through the filter. If you notice your water isn't as fresh tasting as usual, check the filter to make sure that it is not moving around or wobbly.

Great tasting, clear water!

5

We love our Brita Aqualux Pitcher! We've owned this water pitcher for almost a year and use it everyday. Our tap water has a cloudy film to eat that is not appetizing and tastes a bit "off". This pitcher has taken care of that problem. The filters are easy to install and last 4 weeks! By far cheaper than bottled water or large jugs of filtered water we've used in the past. It's quick to fill and filter and great tasting clear water is there in no time. The pitcher is sturdy and simple. Three parts, the pitchers itself, inside lid that the filter sits in and the top lid that you can flip open to put water in before it's filtered. There is a flap on the spout to allow water to come out but not other particles to get into your pitcher.

No More Nasty, Chlorine Taste in My Drinking Water

5

Clean, pure drinking water is quickly becoming the mainstay here in the U.S.A. In the past, most people seemed willing to drink water straight from the tap, in spite of its somewhat chemical taste and aroma. Today, with a newfound emphasis on health, consumers demand better tasting and healthier water. Purchasing bottled water is one option. Another option is to buy a filtering system. My filtering service is the **Brita Aqualux Smart Pitcher**, model OB37. Let's take a look at what you get with this Brita model: **Pitcher Commentary:** This particular model of pitcher is made of heavy duty plastic with a capacity of 48 oz. (1.44 liters) and a narrow design that makes it easy to fit into your refrigerator. In many instances, the narrower shape of the pitcher allows it to fit in your refrigerator door, thereby minimizing the necessary space needed for proper refrigeration and storage. The top of this pitcher contains two flaps. One of the flaps is larger and covers the reservoir where the filtering takes place. The other flap is smaller in size and is located in the front of the pitcher. This smaller flap opens up to pour out the water. Between the two flaps, there is a digital indicator that lets you know when the filter needs to be replaced. There are small bars on the LCD digital display that let you know what percentage of usage has expired, in increments of 25 percent; from 100 percent, down to zero. Fresh- tasting water is something I always considered a good idea, but I must admit I never bothered with a product like this one because I didn't really see the significance. I had always drunk tap water, and nothing had ever gone wrong with my health. Because of this, I didn't really see any need for a water filtering device. My tap water seemed good- tasting enough so I couldn't justify the expense of buying a pitcher like this one and purchasing filters on a continual basis. Now that I have used this Brita system, I cannot see myself ever turning back to ordinary tap water. Brita filters out water to perfection, leaving behind a glass of nearly purified H2O. There are still traces of minerals left, even after you use this filter. But the amounts are so small and so much less than ordinary tap water that the filtered water seems completely pure. I cannot detect any bad taste at all and I feel not only more refreshed when I drink this filtered water, I also feel better about my health. Tap water is generally safe, but it includes traces of chlorine and other chemicals that are noticeable when you take a swig. Brita removes most all of these impurities, leaving behind a clean, refreshing glass of water. This Brita pitcher is easy to use and operate. Sometimes, it takes a little bit of patience to wait for the water to trickle down through the filter and into the pitcher below. But it doesn't take very long at all, and it drips fast enough (there is actually a steady stream of water flowing out of the filter) that it should satisfy most people. The top of the pitcher pops out for easy cleaning, but you really won't need to clean it very much. After all, the only thing that should ever be inside this pitcher is pure water, so there isn't much need for cleaning. **Bottom Line Viewpoint:** Filtered, purified water is becoming increasingly popular with a more health- conscience society. A couple of decades ago, bottled water was a rarity, with only a few stores carrying only one or two basic brands. But today, consumers demand cleaner water, both for its improved taste and for its healthier qualities. Brita is one company that has made cleaner water a reality for millions of people around the world. I recommend finding the right Brita product and improving the taste and quality of your drinking water. One use, and you will never turn back to water from the tap.

Fresh water. Super Convenient!

5

I was so depressed when I had to move to a metropolitan city, where I cannot bring my car, so I cannot conveniently go to buy a giant pack of bottle water. I decided to try out this Brita system and I was really glad at this purchase I made. It is very simply to install, and the filters last me about 1 month. I bought a pack of 8 filters for about 22 bucks at target, so that is very cheap for water! The quality of the water is very pure and fresh, but only dependent on what sort of quality water you are getting from your location. My apartment actually gets decent tap water, not too hard or filled with calcium or other ions. I like the flavor of the water, and I usually only have to refill the Brita pitcher about once a day to get all the water supply I need for that day. It is also very convenient if you are making a soup dish or need fresh filtered water for boiling. This Brita system has save me the hassle of going to CVS every week to stock up on bottled water. The quality might not taste as good as the bottle water, but it is comparable.

pitcher vs. the faucet filter

5

i have used both the brita pitcher and the faucet tap and they are both great products.  there are of course pros and cons to each so it just depends on the individual.  ** the pitcher** was great because you could have cold, filtered water without having to have ice.  if youre not an ice lover, like me, then this is a great option.  the cons of this product is it takes up space (unlike the faucet filter) and if you have multiple people in your home, you have to make sure to fill the pitcher up when its getting low b/c it takes a while for the water to filter down into the container.  it also takes a while to get the water cold.  the pitcher wouldve been my choice but since i had a roommate that never filled up the pitcher, i never had any water available when i wanted it. **the faucet** is great if youre a person on the go or if you dont have alot of space in your fridge.  you can easily and instantly get your filtered water just by the turn of a nozzle.  the down side is its not cold water.  to some people this isnt a big deal but where i live, the water tastes horrible and it kindof defeats the purpose of having clean water when you have to put nasty tasting ice cubes in it.  also if you r getting the faucet filter, buy the stainless steel one (not the white one).  it gradually turns yellow (no matter how many times you clean it).  no matter which one you buy, brita makes great products and you wont be disappointed in the fresh water taste and the fact that youre saving the planet from too much bottled water consumption.

Great water pitcher.

The Brita water filtration system pitcher is great! I love having fresh filtered water in my fridge especially during the warmer months. I would recommend this product to anybody. It is very easy to use. You just place the filter in, fill the pitcher with tap water and pour a nice glass of fresh filtered water. It did take a little longer than what I expected to fill the pitcher due to the filtering process but it is well worth the wait. The pitcher fits very nicely in to my refrigerator without taking up a ton of space. If you do not already own one of these great pitchers you  should buy one. This is a great investment and is much better for the enviroment than buying bottled water.

Helps me drink water!

5

I have been a long-time brita user. I refill a small, carry-around bottle that came with my Brita pitcher for on-the-go water, but I keep my large pitcher at home full of fresh-tasting, pure water. Generally I do not drink tap water because of the taste -- and who knows what's in it -- but running it through a Brita helps me enjoy water at home without the huge costs of bottle water. The newest model has an easy-to-use filter tracker, so you always know when you're due for a filter change -- an excellent way to keep that water tasting good.

Brita Aqualux Pitcher provides clean water for my family!

4

The Brita Aqualux Pitcher is a great way to provide clean healthy drinking water for my family without the huge expense of a whole house water filtration system.  The filters are long lasting and moderately priced for replacement filters.  The filters remove the strange taste that our water can get so that my family will drink water more often.  The pitcher's design takes up minimal space in the fridge and can even fit in the door.
