Of course, the potential problem with using the Brillo with Oxyclean Steel Wool Soap Pads is that they are abrasive. So, they are not appropriate to use on non-stick cookware or, really, any item that has a finish that could be scratched.   As a branded product, it also tends to be expensive at regular retail price, so I stock up when it is on sale.   The Brillo plus Oxyclean Steel Wool Soap Pads work well for cleaning cast iron cookware and I can recommend them. Performance Brillo, of course, is a well-known time-homored brand. And, the current product, the Brillo plus Oxyclean Steel Wool Soap Pads work very well for cetain types of cleaning applications.   Around our house, I use the Brillo plus Oxyclean Steel Wool Soap Pads for cleaning our cast iron skillet and our cast iron grill. The pads are effective in removing baked or fried-on grime. The Brillo pads are infused with the soap, So, all that needs to be done is to wet the pads and  then apply them to whatever baked on or fried on material stands in their way on the cast iron skillet or grill. Brillo pads have been around all of my life. Mt great grandma, grandmother , aunt and mother in law all used Brillo steel wool pads. I have found that other brands simply do not clean asefficiently as Brillo pas. And the other brands often break into pieces while a brillo pad will last for days.Brillo plus oxyclean steel wool soap padsare a new Brillo product. I think they are really great. These steel wool pads clean with great power. They are easy to use and the box they come in is echo friendly. This means it is good for the environment. Brillo plus oxyclean steel wool soap pads really lather up as you use the,. They can be rough on the hands however. And these Brilo pads are expensive.

Brillo is combined with "the power of Oxi Clean", which makes for a tough grease fighter that is very simple to use. You can use the steel wool on basically everything, but test on a hidden area if the material is delicate or highly polished. Just wet the pad and start scrubbing... It is well known that you can use steel wool when it comes to cleaning pots and pans, or cleaning away rust, but all the other uses for steel wool seem less known. You can clean almost anything with steel wool soap pads! Remove grease and grime from your barbeque, for patio furniture and from all your tools; clean stove top and oven, countertops, silver ware, glassware and cookware and stainless steel sinks for a brilliant shine, not to mention floors, bathtub, shower etc. As a child, I used similar Swedish steel wool soap pads to clean bits at the stable. I use Brillo (plus Oxyclean) Steel Wool Soap Pads wherever I can. I suffer from chronic pain and a serious neck injury, and can't use my arms and hands very effectively (my husband and kids take most of it, and I help out where I can). I really need something like this product that is easy to use, and gives real cleaning power even to someone who can't use much force. I am also grateful that Brillo uses biodegradeable soaps and detergents for the pads, avoids phosphorus and makes box of recycled paperboard. I am not sure how damaging steel wool in itself is to nature - if anyone knows, I'll be very glad if you can let me know (thank you very much). Just one more thing, I wish that Brillo sold this exact same steel wool loosely packaged so that you can take the exact amount that you need. Sometimes the pads are too big for the cleaning you're doing, and even though I save the rest of the pad, it's not optimal. If not loosely packaged, then at least pads of different sizes - add 1 much smaller, and 1 medium sized to each package.

This is a great product. It is great for scouring metal pans, like the rims of them, if sauce splashed up and got burned on. The metal against metal takes it right off. It's really great. I also recently needed to clean the glue off of baby food jars for a craft project and was having a really hard time doing so. I tried dishwasher, nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol, hairdryer heat then picking off/scrubbing off as per suggestions on line. Finally i sat them in a sink of hot soapy water and scrubbed with these pads and BOOM completely clean. It was amazing.The only bad things is that the blue gunk detergent can be kinda gross and its gross if you dont want to throw it away after one use and you sit it on the counter or something and then it just leaves blue and gray stuff if it was wet, once it dries. But its nota huge deal. my husband hates them for it though. :)

I've been a fan of Oxyclean for years, so when I saw a combination of steel wool and Oxyclean I was intrigued.  I wasn't disappointed.  The pads contain the cleaning agent right inside, so all I have to do is run it under water and it's ready to go.  These work particularly well on pots and pans with caked on or burned on food.  Of course, because they pads are steel wool they are rough on finishes and care needs to be taken with what kind of pan you use it on.  I also find that the cleaning agent in the product tends to be a bit irritating to my hands and I try to avoid using them for very long periods of time.  Since I usually am only cleaning one pot or pan at a time, this is usually not a problem.  I also use these on my old stainless steel kitchen sink.  Again,care must be taken against scratches, but since my sink is in scratched up condition to start with, it doesn't do further harm.  It does,  however, clean it thoroughly and give it a gorgeous shine.  A great product!

I hate it when greases and spray on oils like PAM make my glass and metal baking dishes look dingy and dirty all of the time. I also hate that those leftovers just won't scrub off no matter how hard I try and they are sticky and irritating. Enter, Brillo. Brillo steel wool pads work perfectly for taking off any leftover grime on my baking dishes...even oils and grease that's been "dried" onto my baking dishes for months came off with the lightest swipe from the Brillo pad. At first I was afraid that the steel wool would scratch my metal baking sheets, but they didn't leave even the slightest mark, which made me even happier! These have just the perfect amount of soap in them, so that the stain gets fought without being wasteful. I also love that there is hardly any scent to these. I hate when my cleaning products smell like, well, cleaning products. I don't like for my house to have that chemical scent to it. Overall, this is a great product that I will always count on to take the nasty stains off of my baking dishes!
