Breville the Infuser Espresso Machine

Summary

Balanced flavors are drawn evenly from all the grinds. So what is the best way to prepare the grinds for an even extraction? Rather than starting with bursts of high pressure, a steady low pressure pre-infusion gently expands the grinds before stepping up to high pressure for an even extraction. Electronic PID temperature control delivers increased temperature stability for a better tasting cup and high power 1600W for high pressure steam and faster heat up.

Got as a gift and thought oh wow - this is the most incredible little machine only thing it doesn't come with is a personal barista to bring me coffee in bed every morning - easy to use and quality of espresso is excellent - after using a machine like this it is difficult to use a regular coffee maker since the quality can't be compared

I love Breville espresso machines. They make great espresso's and are reasonably priced, however this machine is not as sturdy or well designed as its predecessors. They have moved the water tank to the back which makes it annoying and awkward to remove if you have cabinets above, I also find it harder to see how much water is left in the tank. Much more of this machine is made of plastic than the older models, so I fear it won't last as long. This is not the first model to come with a pressure gauge on it, but I think they're just gimmicky and not actually useful at all. The steam and hot water wants being separate is unnecessary. Even though I think most of the "upgrades" are useless, this machine will still make you a great coffee.. and I do like that they have added an automated brew time button so I can press it and walk away (which I couldn't do with the older models).
