Great for making paninis, and very easy to clean. My family now expects me to make every sandwich on this grill! Performance The heat and grilling functions work exceptionally well, and our sandwiches, pizza crust, fish, etc, always turn out perfect. There are, however, two issues with the design. 1) The hinge that keeps the top of the grill hoisted doesn't work well. The left side of the top grill plate sags when in an open position, and the lock function doesn't work . 2) There is no on/off button, so you control the power by plugging it into/out of an outlet. Mine always sparks when I unplug it - seems there could have been a better way to operate the power. Durability I've had mine for a year, and it works like new. Ease of Cleaning I wait for the grill to cool, and use damp paper towels. The plastic chisel that comes with the grill is okay, but doesn't remove all the food. Ease of Use This grill is very easy to use, only caution would be that the plates get extremely hot, so you wouldn't want your kids near the grill.
