The Breville Juice Fountain Elite is our 4th or 5th juicer over the past 18 years or so. None of the others compared to this one for ease of assembly, ease of use and ease of cleanup.
This is Martha Stewart's favorite juicer. That doesn't mean diddly to us, but maybe it does to some of you out there. Perhaps it speaks to the simple operation and quick results of this heavy-duty machine. After all, she's a busy lady who wants to do what needs to be done and then move on.
The base unit of the Breville Juice Fountain Elite is die cast metal surrounding a strong 1000-watt motor that spins at a whopping 13,000 revolutions per minute at the high speed - nearly triple the speed of most other juicers. And the low speed (6500 rpm) works well for those softer fruits or leafy veggies. A "smart chip" adjusts the power as you press the food down, keeping it at the optimum speed for best results.
Everything your food comes in contact with is stainless steel, which is also dishwasher safe. The micro-mesh screen allows pure juice to pour out, with no chunks or pulp. (However, for best nutrition, go ahead and add at least some of the pulp back in to take advantage of the benefits of fiber. Or add the pulp into your next soup or meat loaf.)
The 3" feeder tube on the Breville Juice Fountain Elite is larger than most, making it possible to juice whole pears or apples, 5 carrots at a time, etc. No more cutting food into chunks to push through the feeder. And in literally 5 seconds, your apple or carrots have become 8 oz. of incredibly delicious, fresh, healthy juice!
We did splurge on the optional titanium blade - it greatly enhances the quality of the juices and stays sharper much longer than an ordinary blade. Standard with the Breville Juice Fountain Elite is a fitted 32-oz. juice pitcher and a 100-oz. pulp container.
We couldn't be more pleased with the Breville Juice Fountain Elite. It's quiet, it doesn't travel across the counter during use, it has a strong locking bar for safety, and juicing is no longer a hassle on the preparation, use or cleanup. You can pay anywhere from $250 to $400, so be sure to shop for the best price. That may seem a bit steep upfront, but this just may be the last juicer you'll ever need to buy.
