Best possible lizard to own!

Bearded Dragons are the best possible lizard to own. They have a very steady personality, are very easygoing, the only time they are touchy is when they are shedding their skin. They are very easy to care for, a heat lamp, a sandy bottom in their tank, something to climb on & something to lay under the lamp on & some food, clean the tank about once a month. Of course if you live in a cold climate where you loose electricity often in the winter you do need an alternate way to keep them warm. Males & females can be kept together, 1 each in a tank, or 2 females, but never do 2 males together-they are territorial. The best part is the food-they eat fruit, veggies & insects. Over the summer I kept ours supplied with crickets & beetles from the garden. He was a very happy lizard. They are also intelligent in that he picked up on the differences in the way I opened the tank as to whether it was live food, plant matter or to clean or to pick him up. They love to be pet, almost like a cat, but don't purr.
