Breastfeeding has not always been easy, but it has been the best I can give my three children. My first daughter nursed for 7 months before I fell for the formula trap cycle of supplimenting and unintentionally weaned her. My second daughter is still nursing at age 2 1/2 and my infant son is also nursing (currently 7 months old.) That's right-- I'm nursing TWO children! I have dealt with cracked and sore nipples, biting, double mastitis, mastitis in one breast, plugged ducts, my second daughter having a high palate and unable to latch for a week after birth, and feeling like I am surgically attached to my child postpartum. But all those things are short-lived and the cuddles and knowing I am giving my children the best makes up for it all! Contrary to many opinions out there, just because something is hard or not always pleasant doesn't mean it should be abandoned. I nurse anywhere I am with the knowledge I am rightfully nourishing my child.
I am happy to help any mom with their nursing relationship with their child!
