It's your own personal choice, but I would recommend it. It does not hurt if you do it properly, but that's not to say it comes to you naturally. You have to be taught/shown how to do it, but once you get past the first couple of weeks' learning curve, it's so easy and convenient. You don't have to get up in the middle of the night to make a bottle. You can stay half-asleep, and so can baby, which makes it much easier to get him/her back to sleep. And it's such a special bonding time for mom and baby that just can't be explained - knowing that you are providing the thing baby needs most. Don't think you can't do it if you have a c-section either, I had two and made it just fine both times.
