I love making homemade bread, but unfortunately this machine is just so-so. I agree with the previous reviewer's comment that this machine is loud, but the main problem I had with it is that the mixing bowl keeps popping up off the blade, and the dough stops mixing. You have to open the top to push bowl back down onto the blade, which lets heat escape. The loaves therefore are only about 2/3 the size they should be. The pros: it's easy to make bread, no kneading, the teflon lining of the mixing bowl lets bread slide out easily. Other cons: it's had to clean the blade as there's not a lot of room between it and the bottom of the bowl, the setting for medium white bread gives a crust that is very dark and dry.

I have owned my breadman for almost 10 years and it still is working great! I use it frequently, about 2-3 times a week. I have used all the cycles, but my favorite cycle is the dough cycle. Some of things I like about the machine are: 1) The selection of loaf size, up to 2 lbs. Though this size seems to push the limit of the loaf pan. 2) The dough cycle. I use it to make pizza dough, cinnamon roll dough, rolls, ect... It really cuts out some of the work for making these items. 3) The fact that it beeps to let you know when you need to add fruit or nuts if you want to. Some of the things I don't like about this machine are: 1) The fact that the beep for the fruit/nut cycle is very similar to the end of cycle beep. 2) How loud it is when it mixing or kneading. It is not a quiet machine.
