Having owned the Braun hand blender MR400WH for several years now, I can say it is a sometimes handy and useful kitchen gadget. But I think if I had to use it every single day, I would become pretty annoyed because there are a few quirks that come up and have to work around, when I do occasionally pull it out for use.
There are two parts you just attach together when you need to use the blending function. Usually I do not keep them attached when storing away because otherwise it is too long to fit in the kitchen drawer. I can't find the other attachments that it came with but the only thing I ever use this device for is quick blending.
The blending feature of the Braun MR400WH stick works sufficiently but it can be hard to control because for one thing, it has a cord which can hamper you maneuvering, and second, it creates a lot of suction towards the bottom. If you hold the thing too high or close to the surface of the liquid you're blending, watch out. Because whatever you're mixing will totally splatter, and you will have just made a mess.
The Braun hand blender would probably be much better when used in a stock pot that is pretty deep and full of whatever liquid you are trying to mix.
Using the clear plastic beaker that came with it, which is narrow and for a max capacity of 500 ml, works pretty well when it comes to making a milk or yogurt shake. That is pretty much the only type of thing I would say this Braun stick blender is super successful at. The plastic cup is about the right size for one to two servings of a liquid shake.
If you have bits of fruit or vegetables in with the liquid, do not expect super smooth processing. The Braun hand stick blender does not have a sharp blade so it will only slightly smash the solids. The gadget is only for light duty use anyway.
The point to any stick blender is that it is more convenient and handy than hauling out a full size blender, to pour the liquid in and dirty that whole heavy appliance.
The Braun stick is really easy to clean after use. You can even put the blender attachment in with all the dirty dishes, so I do like that it is dish washer safe top rack.
Just remember not to push the button on until the bottom half of the Braun stick is fully submerged. Again, if the liquid is too shallow or you start too soon, be prepared for clean up on yourself and your kitchen.
