When Gold is Green While Brewing Your Coffee

How many times have you gone to the pantry only to find yourself staring into an empty box of coffee filters?  You know, that green and red box?  I hate those moments.  There was a time that I was pretty proficient at taking a paper towel square and fashioning a coffee filter out of it.  But then guys who forget to pick up coffee filters are often the same guys who forget to pick up more paper towels.

Now there was a time when to compensate for these failings I might go down to Costco or Sam's Club and pick up a pallet of both paper towels and coffee filters.  But not any more.  A more practical...

Go Green with Braun's Gold Screen coffee Filter!

The Braun Universal Gold Screen Coffee Filter is a great reusable cone style coffee filter.  It's great, you use it just like a paper filter only when you're done you just dump out the coffee grounds and give it a quick rinse.  These things last forever!

Ok, the down side for me is that my Bunn coffee maker uses the basket filters.  When the electricity goes out we use the Malita with this filter and it makes wonderful coffee.  I like the fact that we will never have to replace it.  Go Green with Gold!

In a burst of enthusiasm and desire to do a little extra something for the environment (and save money as well) I ordered a Braun Universal Gold Screen Coffee Filter from Gevalia shortly after I signed up for their automatic shipment program.  Upon opening it, I was impressed but thought that it would be difficult to clean.  (I still wash dishes the old-fashioned way and I'll admit it, I'm not what you would call a Domestic Diva.)  So the environment had to suffer a little longer as I cheated and went on using paper filters.

I would recommend this product to anyone who drinks coffee, whether you're a total coffee-holic or a casual drinker. It is great because it eliminates the need to buy traditional filters, which is more pocket and environment-friendly. It's a breeze to clean up, just rinse out and put it back in your coffee maker until tomorrow! Overall, it just makes it easier to enjoy your favorite cup of joe!

My husband purchased a Braun coffee filter over 7 years ago and I turned my nose up at it thinking that the coffee would not taste as fresh as using a regular paper coffee filter each time.  Boy was I wrong.  Not only does it taste just as good, but this filter can be washed out (even in the dishwasher) and I no longer have to worry about running out of filters.  My daughter took our old one as we switched coffee makers and had to get a new one, which is the F4 size.  I love their convenience and thriftworthiness.

I have used the Braun Universal Gold Screen Coffee Filter for a number of years.  I love the convenience of always having a filter for my coffee maker without having to deal with messy disposable filters.  It is so easy to clean.  I just run hot water and clean the filter over my garbage disposal and the filter is clean in seconds.  I would recommend this filter to anyone who wants convenience and easy cleaning.  It makes drinking coffee even more pleasurable.

  when you get up in the morning, staggering to the coffee pot, instead of fumbling with those paper coffee liners, trying to pull out just one. Then putting it just so in the basket, so the grounds don't fall over the edges. just put in the Braun universal filter and all that clumsy morning routine is done. put the grounds in the filter and relax. it is so much easier. It has a nifty little handle for removal and cleaning. You just rinse and it's ready for tomorrow!

These cones are just great.  Not only do they clean up easily, but there is no more chance of a mess from one tearing like there is with paper filters.  They are economical as they last for years.  I've had two that I use on a daily basis for over 5 years now.  They paid for themselves around age 6 months.  They work for loose tea leaves as well as coffee.  I'd never think of going back to paper filters.

I've had my Braun cofee maker for about 5 years and I love it. The gold screen filter is great.  In the long run, you end up saving money by not buying the throw away filters. I think it also makes the coffee taste better. It definitely filters out all the coffee grinds. It's easy to just rinse out and reuse again the next time.

These gold filters work great. No more buying coffee filters if you dont want to . I like to use both (at different times) since I get lazy about cleaning the gold filter and the paper filter is easier to dump. I'm not sure if I notice a diffence in the coffee-its just a matter of convenience for me.

This is the greatest thing ever!  You just rinse and that's it!  No more messy filters falling out of the trash.  The greatest thing of all... I never have to put coffee filters on my shopping list anymore!  Anything that makes my list smaller is definately worth it!

          the filter saves money ,since it is reuseable. there is nothing worse to get up in the morning to find you have no paper filters left.  it is easy to clean  and dries quickley it is worth the cost

I'm writing this review about about the Braun Universal Gold Screen Coffee filter. This is a great product one reason above all the rest is that you do not have to use paper filters again. It is convenient and cleanup is a breeze.

I totally love this coffee filter! I was a little skeptical of reusable coffee filters at first, but this is great! I pull it out, dump out the coffee grounds and it washes easily! Fantastic! Saves so much money from buying paper filters.
