The Braun Universal Gold Screen Coffee Filter is a great reusable cone style coffee filter.  It's great, you use it just like a paper filter only when you're done you just dump out the coffee grounds and give it a quick rinse.  These things last forever!

Ok, the down side for me is that my Bunn coffee maker uses the basket filters.  When the electricity goes out we use the Malita with this filter and it makes wonderful coffee.  I like the fact that we will never have to replace it.  Go Green with Gold!

Two thumbs up!!

Still can't remember but when my migraine is gone I'll give Mom a call. She might remember.

Oh Wow, that would be great! Please let me know, if you remember, where you saw it. I'll look online too. Thanks!

I saw a reusable filter for the makers that use the basket type. Wish I could remember where.... Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately, this filter does not work with the basket type of coffee maker :-( However, you can buy a cheap little thing called a Malita I believe. It's a very cool gadget that sits on top of a mug or jar and holds a cone filter. You put ground coffee in the filter and pour boiling water over them and the coffee drips into your mug. It is very simple and I use it when the power goes out, it makes Great coffee. I have a Bunn coffee maker, it makes really good coffee and it makes it very fast. I would recommend a Bunn but you can't use this filter with it because it's the wrong shape.

Does the cone shape fit easily in the coffee maker that uses the basket fillers or do you have to force it in a bit? We don't drink a lot of coffee. But it really helps my migraines so we may get a coffe maker (also someone gave us a bunch of packages of really good coffees.) Do you have any coffee maker reviews? : ) Thanks for the review.

I have one of these- came with my Braun coffee maker. They are a great idea and they save the hassle of buying/disposing of paper filters.
