Braun Tassimo Review

This is the machine for all of you who can't decide what to drink in the morning, afternoon or night. We bought this machine so all of us could have the drink we wanted when we wanted it. It is great in the morning when you need a "cup of joe". I have had Braun model it for almost two years now and have never had a problem with it. Bosch has taken over the production of the line and friends who have bought that model are just as pleased as me.

The Tassimo is super simple to use and doesn't take hardly any time to set up. The system uses T-discs that contain a measured amount of coffee, expresso, tea, or chocolate to make beverages for everyone. No longer do you have to make a full pot of coffee if you only a few people will drink it. Preparing made to order drinks including cappucino, lattes or green tea is a snap. Each cup is freshly brewed and gives you the taste you desire, every time.

Purchasing the T-discs to use with the machine is simple. They offer an online service which you can subscribe to when you register and get two free packs of beverages of your choice or you can find them at any Bed, Bath and Beyond, Boscov's, Macy's, Dillard's, Target, Wal Mart, Kitchen Kapers among others. My family especially like the offerings from Gevalia, both coffee and tea. They are super smooth and very drinkable. They also offer speciality coffees (cremas) from around the world. That option is great for my family. We like stronger European coffees so these products fit the bill perfectly.

You decide how strong or weak you like your coffee or tea by simply holding down a button to determine the desired strength. I also like the option of making hot chocolate (a non milk based product, European styled chocolate drink) which is perfect for both young and old. You also can make cappuccinos, expressos, lattes and more. In the summer, add ice and you can skip the run to the local coffee or donut shop.

Some of the brands available include Gevalia, Maxwell House, Twinings, Tazo, Suchard, Maestro Lorenzo, Jacobs, Kenco and others. Tassimo also just came out with several new products including Starbucks coffee, "Milka" hot chocolate and the European style coffee cremas, now available via standing orders or one time orders. They also offer a complete line of decaffienated products and a "Lite" cappucino/latte blend.

The machine is sleek and compact. I put it near our family room so it is convenient for everyone to use anytime of the day. It takes only minutes to produce the coffee, coffee drink, tea or hot chocolate that you want. The system comes with a refillable water canister, a special cleaning disc and easy to follow directions. The Tassimo website is also chock full of information including recipes for speciality drinks, a community group to talk about the product and direct delivery information.

My daughter liked it so much she took one to college with her. Now she is the most popular kid on her floor!
