Most HelpfulI never understood the love affair with coffee drinkers and their morning cups of coffee....until my husband gave me a Tassimo coffee machine for Christmas in '05. It's a machine that reads an SKU code on top of a coffee (or tea, or hot chocolate, or latte) disc and knows how much steaming water...

Most HelpfulAt first glance, the Tassimo system seems perfect for a coffee lover. The brew-only-what-what-you-need approach seems great(no more stale, reheated coffee). However, the unit is large enough that it's inconvenient to keep on the kitchen counter, expensive(mine was $169, on sale), and very, very unreliable....
read full review »I had been looking for a coffee machine for a while, a regular pot was out of the question, and I wasn't impressed with the machines that make coffee directly into the travel mugs. One visit with a friend who has this machine and I was sold; she made a perfect cappuccino in less than two minutes. The best part of this system is the variety I am a huge cappuccino fan, and for the price of 1 cup of Starbucks you can buy a pack of Maxwell house which will make 8 cappuccinos they have 8 milk discs and 8 espresso discs. These are available at Target or online at tassimodirect.com, Target generally...
read full review »Unit less than 2 years old stopped functioning properly. Liquid pods would not empty (hot chocolate, cappacino milk/creamer). Support suggested we de-scale the unit which did not help. Another support call resulted in a pre-paid box sent to ship the box. Unit shipped back with the following message:
Repair costs exceed the price of new unit.
I love my tassimo! I used to own a coffee machine and then got a tassimo as a present. It is faster than my coffee machine which was advertised as the fastest on the market. It is also multi-functional, I can make plain coffee or a latte, or hot chocolate, or tea etc. Not only is there variety in the type of drink, but there is also variety in the brand and specifics of the drinks. For example, I can have Starbucks coffee or Maxwell house morning blend or decaf from Green Mountain. Plus, it is hassle-free, instead of having to measure out coffee grounds put them into a filter, measure...
read full review »I have the Tassimo one cup coffee maker. I love the fact that it has a water purification filter in the water tank. However, the coffee is never strong enough. I have 6 different types of coffee that I bought and all are very weak. I know you can adjust the water level but if you want a 12oz cup of coffee, it's very mild and kind of dull.
Note: I like the brewing of the Tassimo better than the Keurig. Kuerig, though, has many more coffee choices to chose from.
All in all, this is a great, simply machine to operate. I am not a cook by all means nor do I like to be in the kitchen, Tassimo...
read full review »Before Tassimo I was a plain cup of joe girl made in a big pot at the house. I prefer cafe mocha and found myself spending 3-4 dollars at Panera Bread or Starbucks. And if I had to drink regular coffee, if the pot was not turned off right after brewing, I found the coffee tasted burnt.
After a vacation a few years back with a friend who brought the Tassimo, I was sold.
I bought one and my husband continued to use the traditional pot. For a fraction of the cost, I make any coffee house specialty coffee in my house. And it didnt take long for my husband to join me in loving the Tassimo and I have...
read full review »I received the Tassimo coffee machine in Dec 2006 as a gift and loved it. It was leaking from underneath the unit by the summer of 2007. I still am using it because the conveniece of 1 cup at a time is so handy. It would be even handier if it had a "tall" setting so I don't have to manually fill up the rest of tall portable coffee mugs/tumblers (the kind with aluminum inside to keep coffee warm) before heading out the door. I removed the plastic insert for small cups so the large mugs/tumblers will fit.
I've had my Tassimo single Cup Coffee Maker for over a year now. We love, love, love this machine! We can easily change between coffee, tea, hot chocolate, espresso, cappucinos. A little expensive at first to purchase the unit but the coffee discs are reasonable and can be found online or at Bed Bath Beyond and Target. :)
Oh.. and they DO sell milk discs separately now!
My husband and I purchased the Tassimo when I had to give up caffeine because I was breastfeeding. The Tassimo is the perfect solution, as he can have a cup or two of good Starbucks or Gevalia coffee in the morning when he gets up, and I can have a cup or two of decaf later in the morning when I get up, and we don't waste half a pot of coffee.
The Tassimo brews one cup of beverage at a time. An internal scanner reads the barcode off the beverage disc, and this tells the machine how much water, how hot, and how long to brew. A wide variety of discs are available, including several brands and...
read full review »<pThe machine is a little noisy, and not good for making drinks for a big crowd, but that is our only complaint. My husband and I agree: This machine produces the best cup of coffee, tea, green tea ever. It is easy to use. Every cup is quick to make and fresh and tasty. I think we have tried most styles of coffee makers and this one is the best we've used. It is easy to set up an account with Tassimo and have the discs sent right to your door. You can update quantities and flavors/ type of beverage at any time. There are mnay, many flavors of coffee and tea to choose from; they even have hot chocolate....
