I never understood the love affair with coffee drinkers and their morning cups of coffee....until my husband gave me a Tassimo coffee machine for Christmas in '05. It's a machine that reads an SKU code on top of a coffee (or tea, or hot chocolate, or latte) disc and knows how much steaming water to filter through it to make a perfect cup of hot beverage. It does this one cup at a time just to make sure that each cup is made exactly like you like it.

I can make one cup without wasting 4 other cups. I don't spill the grounds and make a mess. I never make it too strong. I never make it too weak.  I don't have to wash that coffee pot constantly and worry about breaking it. I don't have to worry about gettting the top on the coffee pot perfectly lined up since i melted one side of it in the dishwasher. I love everything about this machine and  was extremely happy the day I tossed the Mr. Coffee in the Salvation Army box.

no, i havent tried the keurig.
the tassimo coffee, tea, milk and esspresso (and other choices as well) all come in plastic discs to fit in the coffee maker. you have to buy these discs seperately. my grocery store doesnt carry them but it get them delivered to the house (very convenient).

Have you compared it to the Keurig? Also, what is a milk disk?
