I have owned the Silk Epil (Braun) for years, and I love it! To best describe this for those who have never used one, it is an electric little gadget with many tiny tweezers that onceturned on, it rotates and the tweezers open and close as you go back and fourth over your legs, or underarms. It has two different size covers, one for smaller areas and one larger for legs. I won't lie, it does hurt a bit, hey you are pulling hairs out! But it's convenient and quick instead of having to go somewhere to get waxed all the time, and it gives you a break from shaving. i also would like to add that shaving( and this I have personally proved!) makes the hairs come out quicker, thicker, and more abundant. WHile this little gadget or waxing, diminish the amount of hair over time, plus it comes out thinner and thinner.
The only bad thing is that I guess you must wait abit for the hairs to grow, just a little so that they will be tugged by the tweezers, so if you re planning to go swimming or to the beach, you will most likely have to shave in between. I use it mostly in winter, since i don't wear shorts and don't mind having just a bit of growth in between removal. The other downside is that if you have sensitive skin, you might get some bumps on the skin, but you can either exfoliate gently, or eventually get used to it. I have used it mostly for under arm hairs, and I now have so little that I barely need to even use it. Just like 4 hairs, that's it!
Shaving is nice for the soft clean cut, but after shaving a few times, you can't even go one day without having the roughness to your legs.
There are several varieties of this product out there, I like the silk epil because it's basic, has two speeds, comes in a cute little case with all it's parts, easy to clean. There are however other ones that cut first then remove (doublework?not sure why) Waxing is so expensive, why pay and have to wait for an appointment each time when ou can remove the hair at home? Plus its small and in it's little case that you can bring while travelling.
If you can deal with tweezers, you can definately deal with this. I highly recommend trying it out
