I got this as a gift and at first I was umimpressed. I left it in its box for nearly a year, until I started a new fitness program. I needed to start drinking protein shakes as part of my nutritional supplementation. The shakes were horrible to say the least. The powder did not mix well no matter how long you spent stirring it with the milk. —  I then remembered the blender was in a closet somewhere and decided to give it a shot. It does an amazing job. I do love this machine.  It works quick.  It's easy to clean.  I use it mostly when I'm making cream soup.  Or to chop up meat.  I have't used it for everything it is capable of doing. — The only thing I don't like is the pushbutton switch.  If you don't pay attention and unplug it while cleaning the blades,if you have your hand on the switch, you could slice your finger.  I learned the hard way. I absolutely love this product. I replaced my old Braun for the new one.  What a difference!  It works much harder and faster than the old one.  It chops 4 cloves of garlic up in three squeezes of the handle.  Same with fresh herbs.  I can blend soups or beans for burritos in a matter of seconds right on the stove.  Saves lots of time and cleaning.   … read full review »
