Braun AromaDeluxe KF 580 10-Cup Coffee Maker Review

I don't drink coffee, but my husband, quite frequently guests and most importantly my parents do. As a matter of fact, my parents start off with about three cups each in the morning, and as a result during a week long visit I was able to really use and get to know my Braun AromaDeluxe KF 550 10-Cup Coffee Maker. Sure, I had used it before, but not the workout it got this week.

• Pause and serve (you can stop it and quickly grab a cup of coffee without waiting for the whole pot
• reminder to change filter
• dishwasher safe

What I don't like about the Braun AromaDeluxe KF 550 10-Cup Coffee Maker

• the coffee filter-depending on the fineness of the coffee I use some grains can get into the coffee pot
• not programmable - I just would have liked to set it and wake up to the coffee
• the lid of the pot easily pops off

What I do like about the Braun AromaDeluxe KF 550 10-Cup Coffee Maker

• idiot proof -- even I couldn't mess up making this coffee
• the coffee filter - easier on the environment than paper filters which you can also use if you decide to
• easy to clean both the filter, pot and maker
• easy to read water marks
• on off switch/pause and auto turn off after some period of time

My Viewpoint: For someone like me the Braun AromaDeluxe KF 550 10-Cup Coffee Maker actually quite good. It is easy to use, didn't cost too much, (but not cheap), and I could pause it to get my parents a cup immediately upon walking downstairs (trust me that is a big deal!).  The coffee was great tasting and quickly made.  The best part of waking up for my parents was visiting their grandchildren, but I think the great coffee waiting for them every morning was probably pretty good too.
